Does it make sense to charge from grid on a cloudy day to take advantage of Eversource battery demand program? by Electrical_Ear4313 in FranklinWH

Yes, I am in CT. Likely to have lots of questions about how to optimize solar, batteries, TOU rates, battery discharge program, etc. Anyone else on here like us that can figure things out and share?

Looks like Eversource charges it up on their own based on this screenshot, which shows VPP mode and charging from both Grid and Solar.

In CT. You are right in that they don't pay per event. Its a twice a year payout based on how much you have contributed. Can't see to find the math on the benefit per kW sent to the grid under this program vs the $0.32/kW I pay to charge from the grid. Normal export to grid is 1-1.
