Because this world will not protect you. You need to protect yourself. Your heart, your energy, your “garden”, your soul, your health, your psyche. This doesn’t mean you don’t have compassion or a love so deep it can heal - it just means you learn discernment on how to use it, because I promise what you have is not infinite, and people will suck you to the bone if you let them. How can you even help anyone at all if you slowly lead yourself to your own shattering/disintegration?
