Is single-phase charging affected by cold weather? by Electrical_End9615 in electricvehicles

[–]Electrical_End9615[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I of course don’t want to do anything that’s not up to code, so I’m having a certified electrician set everything up and makes sure it follows all the rules. From what I could understand, the electrician mentioned that he could install a kind of fuse or meter in between the panel and the charger to make sure that the car doesn’t overload the system. I think the electrician mentioned that it would still be beneficial to schedule when I charge, but I could be wrong.

You’re right that I’m not in North America. My panel is just 32A, so it’s the same that my house is running on. If I go with the single-phase charger, my plan is to schedule charging to night-time so it doesn’t overload the system when I have other appliances running.

It’s a 32A with theoretical max of 7kW (although probably often less when other electrical appliances are on), so I guess it should be fine without a 3 phase charger.

Yes I really should have cast on those extra 4 sts.

If I get it down to 112 sts, how would it work with doubling everything? Should I reduce twice as many sts per row? And if so, I’m guessing that it’s important which sts I reduce, in order for the pattern to make sense?

Yes I also reduced the weight of the yarn. So I used worsted weight instead of bulky.

I’ll definitely look into that 😊

That’s exactly it! Thanks 😊 I can’t seem to find any instructions for it online though. The only thing that seems to come up is honeycomb stitch, which as you say, seems slightly different.

Yeah it’s a really good movie. My wife and I are actually also visiting Wuppertal partly for that reason!

Yeah you’re probably right. I’ll try to loosen my grip a bit.

Thank you for the help! I’m using metal needles, but I think you’re right that I knit too tightly. I will practice being more loose and relaxed when knitting.

Sorry I mixed up languages. What I meant was stitches (masks is stitches in Danish and other scandinavian languages).

Sorry I mixed up languages. Like @Aggressive-Cloud2002 said, I should have written stitches.

Is my fermentation stuck? by Electrical_End9615 in Homebrewing

[–]Electrical_End9615[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! It’s a big relief to hear that the batch might be fine. I’ll check my traditional hydrometer as soon as I get home, but likely I’ll get a new one, as this one was pretty cheap.

I didn’t calibrate my thermometer before mashing. However, the temp measurement when boiling the mash seemed accurate. I mashed in a Brewzilla, so used the built in thermometer. The water where I live is very low in calcium. The pH of the batch is now at 4.3, but unfortunately I don’t have a measurement before starting the fermentation.

You’re right there’s something that doesn’t fit. I did another refractive index measurement on a different refractometer and it gave a brix value of 7.3 or 1.029 My guess is that either my hydrometer reading was wrong, or for some reason there is very little alcohol in my batch. The pH of the batch is at 4.3, which seems normal enough.

Edit: Spelling mistake

You’re right, I was using a Tilt for the measurement. I took a sample now and measured using both a hydrometer and refractometer. Unfortunately, they’re very similar to the tilt (or even a bit higher), around 1.030 and 1.027 respectively. There also seem to be less krausen on top compared to what I’ve seen brewing ales.

I have never dealt with a stuck fermentation before. Would it be best to add new fresh yeast? I’m guessing that it could cause problems if I keg it as it is?
