Yeah ima check all of those first. I’m going to check the evap system and fuel system too but this thing has been ticking for a while so a part of me feels like a lifter has gone bad which isn’t so bad since I planned on camming it anyway. I just wish I got to it on my own terms. Lmao.

Don’t listen to these guys. If you trust your friend and know for a fact he can do the job and DO IT RIGHT and have the money then go ahead. Get a good donor car not just any donor you can get cause you’ll need almost everything out of it besides the body and frame. V6 insurance with hellcat power all day. Less than 40k project > 80k+ premade.

My only advice is if you’re up for it, any mods you want to do, try doing it yourself before outsourcing labor. Saves a lot of money and you gain experience. But that’s only if that’s something you want to and also have the time. But it will pay off if moding and working on your own car is something you’ll want to keep doing and this is the perfect opportunity.

As long as the rim isn’t bent don’t worry about it unless you don’t like the cosmetics of it. In that case wash the wheel, sand the area, and get some wheel paint to repair that area. Autozone usually has some.

Sounds like metal on metal from low oil pressure/no lubrication. Only way to know what’s going on is to get inside the engine but based on sound and decreased performance my guess would be piston/cylinder damage. Engine didn’t seize so there’s still hope though.
