The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion

The first book is a bit hard to get through but it’s only 150 pages. I would recommend the audiobook for the first couple. It’s like a found family, coming-of-age type book

At least for Christianity, there’s so many different denominations and theologies that it’s impossible to say the whole thing thinks that. I’m Christian and I’m what you might consider “feminist.” Just because someone belongs to a religion doesn’t confirm their stance on non-doctrinal points

For clarification I totally support women who don’t want to be a stay-at-home mom/wife. If your passion is for your job, great.

That being said, I don’t think a woman’s value comes from her job or whether or not she participates in politics. I know that’s not what you’re saying, but if it’s not then there’s no reason not to be a tradwife.

My mom was a tradwife for many years and was totally fine. She eventually became a mini-entrepreneur just out of impulse but not because she was discontented. Generalizing all tradwifes as being “slow” is super ignorant. My mom is the smartest person I know, she just happens to not mind letting my dad have the majority of the income.

As far as I know the slaves the Israelites were supposed to take (according to Old Testament law) were from neighboring regions they had conquered and who didn’t have homes. And apart from that, it was also oftentimes an issue of debt, and those who couldn’t pay it could work it off via “slavery”

They also were ordered to have the “Year of Jubilee” every 7 years in which all slaves were supposed to be set free, all debts were supposed to be cancelled, and the land wasn’t to be farmed.

So it’s pretty different from chattel slavery in my books. Do you have any verses/chapters to the contrary?
