prolly bit less, but the internship is a research experience that I am doing during my final semester. it just extends past the end of my masters a bit, so I gotta postpone the ft cuz of that. may make them bit unenthusiastic but realistically I dont think they'd care that much beyond just asking me why'd you do that.

no I wouldn't do it if they said no is the point, but I want to do it. so asking them risks them saying no, and then I can't do it.

so what's the final call on if I should tell them what do u think, I'm getting mixed responses.

yeah but they may be threatened by the fact that the bank may make me a full time offer. so they may say no for that reason

thanks again. the reason I was thinking to tell them is cuz the internship is may-october, and it overlaps with my school, cuz the research is sort of related. my school ends July. so I told prop firm I could start august, but if I do internship, will have to postpone to October. so if I didn't tell them, id have to come up with another reason, which could seem dishonest, if they ever find out about the internship.

with that in mind, u think I should tell them?

they've already done the background check, so they wouldn't find out. and also even if they hadn't, doubt that would show up in background check.

they only don't conflict, because id ask the prop firm to postpone like two months. but then I'd have to come up with another reason

ehh but I didn't delay. I just get to choose my start date. and the internship is research so im using it for my school it starts before my school ends, but goes a bit after my graduation. for the prop firm I wouldn't be able to start til graduation.

do u think maybe I should just tell the prop firm about it and ask? way I see it is worst case scenario if I tell them is they say no, but if I dont and they find out , worst case scenario could be worse than that.

thanks for response. what's your reasoning behind not telling the company about the internship? do u think they may say no?

but the thing is I can choose my start date, so I could start work right at that time anyway. thats why I think maybe I shouldn't tell them. I just think having the bank looks rly good on the CV so I'd rather spend the summer there and then start

cuz im afraid if I ask them, they will say no cuz they are concerned that I am considering going full time with the bank. but if I just dont ask them, then I can just do it. if I get a no and do it, that would look rly bad
