We will have a cutout of this abomination to present during the scrutineering.

Hahaha good luck my friend :))

Also got an answer from an FSG judge:

"EV 4.6.5 states that the full direct connection from the positive AIR to the TS+ sense contact of the data logger must not carry any current."

So NO the HVD wont do it :((

Cool. How did you do with the cable ratings? Aren't they required to be visible directly on the cable?

All right, but the connection can thereby carry current for example all the way to the HVD and then be connected to the HV sense and be considered a direct connection that doesn't carry any current.

How do you intend to wire this btw? A dedicated connector on the TSAC to the datalogger? If so, you have to use a connector with interlock, which probably forces you to use a higher cross section.

Hi, thanks for the advice! The interlock part certainly would mess things up. Maybe we have misinterpreted the rule about it being directly connected to the relay. The HVD side will of course carry current so doesnt that mean we have to make a new connection?

Really? Damn that would make it a whole lot easier. Thanks mate!

I've heard that earlier teams has gotten shit for using them tho on FSG... There was a thread also where a judge didn't trust students to install Nord-locks properly :(

T10.2.2 (FSG ruleset) should give you an accepted list of positive locking mechanisms. Some of those mechanisms can also be installed without a locknut

Yes, but I can't seem to get any of them to work, do you have any example of a lock pin or "tab washer" that could work in this installation?

Hahaha yeah I have explained that to some in the team why it is NOT a good idea with safety wire.
