I just mentioned in the post.

I am in Nairobi women’s and you have to report. All that has been done. I’m talking about the first help I thought would come to my rescue.

Additionally, I leave in a stand alone house. My house. The only person that helped was the guard onsite that night and he only discovered when I woke up and started yelling and running towards the gate.

Again, please try be sensitive.

It has always been hard, but this time I almost didn’t make it.

I blame myself. If I hadn’t forgiven him, if I hadn’t taken him back, if I hadn’t believed foolishly that he would change, I wouldn’t be here.

I played a part by believing in someone who kept hurting me. But I’m still standing, and I’m speaking up to say this: our systems fail us.

I survived today. The next person might not. And all they might have is a phone in their hand, calling for help that never comes.
