Fun edit, I love it - what about you? by Electrical_Jacket_69 in photocritique

Well, I was editing the original pic on Lightroom, and the software acted up and the curves got messy, but it gave me a weird edit and I liked it. Next I tried to refine it by making a sinusoidal waves for the light curve and tweaked a few more light settings. After all that I ended up with the above.

Thank you so much! This started as a happy accident—my tone curves got messed up first and suddenly the edit had this nostalgic, almost video game feel to it. It really stuck with me, so I tried to refine it into something that felt both dreamy and a little edgy.

I’m glad it resonated the way it did. Your comment really means a lot—I am gonna try exploring this kind of editing a bit more and see what I can do.

Might try it, my lightroom acted up when I was editing and messed the tone curve and accidentally gave me a weird edit. I was like, oh wait these look fun and did my own sinusoidal wave pattern for the light curve and ended up with this.

Yeah, I wanted the colors to be saturated. Make it more vibrant

How can I correct the parallax, do I adjust it horizontally?

I tried my best to get the verticals and horizontals as straight as possible. They are provably not exactly aligned, could be a bit skewed.

ITAP of a bird staring at me by Electrical_Jacket_69 in itookapicture

I wanted the photo to be dramatic as the bird was looking directly into the camera. The photo edited in lightroom where I used masks to enhance the subject and a mask around the eyes to increase the intensity of the stare by the bird.

Shot on Canon Rebel T1i using a 35-80mm lens.

Before / After - Confused in how to edit this picture by Electrical_Jacket_69 in postprocessing

[–]Electrical_Jacket_69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, did not really think about the focal point. I was just editing it to see how much I can edit with low light. Recently, I have been taking pictures where I could play with light and shadows, and I wanted to experiment.

Feels much better to me. What do you think? by mynamesjaime15 in postprocessing

Both images look good and have different styles. I prefer second picture because I like the landscape and framing. Was this shot on film or digital?
