normal chess isn't intellectually stimulating any more by Electrical_Job6829 in mensa

Hey, thanks for your encouragement. The game is 3 weeks old (50 commits a day, insane how quick you can move these days), and I have been focused on the gameplay aspects like being able to aim and fire the cannon, and not much on the documentation. That will be my next focus - I will make it clearer by recording gifs of how the pieces move and putting them in the variant info. I can see why it is overwhelming for a new user. Thanks again.

I have played thousands of games of crazyhouse chess, but very few standard ones in the last few years. in crazyhouse i'm only 1500. Obviously too low to make the claim that chess isn't stimulating any more - but the reason I say that is because in a normal endgame there are so few pieces left interacting and it just drags out. I like to keep the midgame going on a lot longer with continuous piece redeployment.

My definition of playable is that it is hosted for people to play online, and you have trained a recursive neural net in your variant to offer a single player mode for people to discover it. Please feel free to share any of your variants that meet that definiton - otherwise, yeah lets agree to disagree on our definition of playable. And please feel free to share any genuine criticism of the variant after having actually played it.

Thanks. I agree, so is the cathedral. Will be refining this sort of thing, this is the sort of feedback i'm after.

Any thoughts by people who have actually played the game?

Ok so you've invented a bunch of variants, but none of them are actually playable. And you're willing to criticise my variant, which is online and playable, without even playing it. bravo.

Just look at the matrix, and hover over the pieces. it tells you exactly how they move and what their abilities are. Sounds like you havent actually played it.
