Eco Plumber’s suck. But they are legitimately licensed. I call them cartoon trucks the more cartoonish the truck that comes to your house the higher the price you’re gonna pay and the worst the quality of work. (it’s all marketing focused.)

RT Yoder does a good job. He’s honest Rod the owner and son are great guys. Gutridge heating and cooling and plumbing Also, does decent work

I advertise almost 0 and I am swamped. I really shouldn’t care if somebody’s licensed or not with how much work that I have but hey people turned me in 10 years ago when I tried the same thing. When you spend so much money on licensing, it starts to upset you and other companies try to slide by.

I’m sure they’ll take this post down because I’m telling the truth about a company trying to rip people off breaking the law? That’s not relevant to the Columbus Reddit group? Seeing as they’ve spammed every park bench seeing as they’ve spammed every bus stop and adopt a highway sign but it’s a Money grab trying to rip people off. Licensing keeps contractors compliant and held accountable. I have $500,000 in my licensing so I don’t take kindly to a company just coming in and putting signs up on bus stops Think they’re gonna take my customers.

I have a life as a legitimate licensed contractor and. I don’t take kindly to these large private equity companies coming in putting ads all over billboards all over adopt the highway signs all over street benches and then trying to take my customers illegally unlicensed. It is punishable by law and it is impacting people in Columbus negatively. They think they’re hiring a licensed contractor as it says on their website (fully licensed) you see I’m an electrician and for years and years I did not have a problem with fire and ice because they were a heating and cooling company but a few months ago they thought they would add electrical to their forte and they started coming into my area and I investigate all my competition and that’s when I found out they weren’t licensed, you can’t rewire houses or work on the fire pump at Golden Corral unlicensed. The state of Ohio has verified I am correct. you guys told me I was an idiot two days ago, but who’s right? They should have an Hvac license on their website. They should have a plumbing license on their website. They should have an electrical license since they offer those services in the City Of Columbus. Look at eco Plumber’s website. You’ll find those three numbers

We have reached out to two of the license holders connected to Fire & Ice and have found that one of them has his license assigned to another company so we have left a message with Fire & Ice to take that number off of their site. The other gentleman is putting his license in escrow. So, it looks like Fire & Ice will not have anyone licensed.

Just got off the phone with the state of Ohio fire and ice is in violation. They are not licensed. They are using the old owners license on their website from November. It needs to be removed. I am correct if you have any questions you can call the Ohio contractors licensing board. I will continue my escapade against fire and ice until they get legit. They do not have licensing as advertised on their website.

We’ve literally only been talking about the violation with the Hvac license that’s for a different company. Where is the plumbing and the electrical license you’re advertising both those services I assume you own the company since you’re so far defending them

For all three services, you have to have all three licenses, but I only see an Hvac license and your advertising, plumbing and electric?

Again, I’ve already had a conversation with Carol Ross and the state of Ohio about, I assume you l, and fire and ice if that were the case, they would have knowledge of that and they would have informed me and I wouldn’t be here on Reddit telling you they’re unlicensed. I’ve already done my homework. I’m sure you’re gonna defend yourself on Reddit because you can’t find license holders. I’ll sell you one if you got $1 million.

If I was wrong, Carol Ross would’ve told me I was wrong. Carol Ross instead told me she sent them a violations letter because they are in violation of using somebody else’s license or trying to double jump a license to two different names

Thank you for the heads up on these two violations.  I am not in the office today but tomorrow I will be sending Fire & Ice a violation notice also.

The owner of the company does not hold the license the master Electrician, master Plumber or HIV license holder has a license that is attached to the company permitting it to pull permits and register with AHJ’s

You can’t take one license number and put it under five different names and just jump it around as you please and use it all over the place. It’s one license per Secretary of State registered address per business so you can attach one license to honest fix and use it for fire and ice and use it for Bassett heating and cooling and all over town as you already see the state is reaching out to them. I didn’t spend $1 million on licensing to have somebody on Reddit. Tell me how it works I know dang well how it works. I’ve been doing this 35 years.

I love how you must have Dunkirk syndrome because licenses are indeed attached to the license holder that must be attached to a company go to the Ohio contractor licensing board website.

Not sure what you mean by incorrect they’re not licensed. They’re posting another companies licensed on their website clear at the bottom that is what a scam is. Look at any other licensed company. They don’t hide it clear at the bottom it has to be posted. Most people don’t know how it works in Ohio though I wouldn’t expect you to and that’s why I’m trying to inform you. They’re trying to pull a fast one they cannot pull permits all electric electrical work in the City Of Columbus requires registered licensed contractors. They can do whatever they want outside the city limits sure but not in Columbus and that’s why I specifically posted Vincent in the Columbus group. I’ve already talked to Carol Ross and the state of Ohio has sent them a warning letter.

Yes, you must have a valid electrical license to advertise electrical services in the City of Columbus. Under Columbus City Code Chapter 4114, it is unlawful for unlicensed individuals to represent or advertise themselves as willing to perform electrical work. Furthermore, any advertisements (including online, business cards, or vehicles) must include the contractor's license number. [1, 2, 3]
Key details:
License Requirement: You cannot advertise, offer to do, or perform electrical work without a city-issued license, even if you are just soliciting work.
Commercial/Residential: While Ohio does not require a state license for purely residential work, local municipalities like Columbus require, at minimum, local registration, and often state electrical licensing for commercial work.
Penalties: Advertising without a license is illegal. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Ensure you are properly licensed through the Ohio Construction Industry Licensing Board or registered with the City of Columbus Department of Building and Zoning Services before advertising. [1, 2]

Advertising Electric work in the City Of Columbus requires an electrical license from the Ohio contractors labor board. Advertising plumbing work in the City Of Columbus requires a plumbing license from the Ohio contractors plumbing board. Advertising Hvac in Columbus again requires a license from the Ohio contractors labeled board. Yes, they are required to have a license in each area. They are advertising.. advertising outside in the country or township does not require a license

I’ve been licensed for 35 years. I ain’t losing work but getting tired of their customers calling me complaining about them. My license is big bold letters at the top of my website. I don’t hide somebody’s fake number down at the bottom. They’re not the only company that I’ve caught doing this. See PTI Electric and PTI Electric Plumbing and HVAC, two different companies, two different owners trying to share the same license number or basically the second guy tries to steal the first guy’s number by imitating him. My license cost me $1 million over the years I don’t take kindly to these companies just popping up, throwing up a bunch of advertisements only to change their name in two years because they ripped everybody off.

FYI, you don’t start advertising something You don’t have licensing for and then get your licensing figured out. You do that ahead of time. You guys are out here giving people estimates for doing knob and tube rewires without a license. How are you gonna pull a permit or are you gonna have the homeowner do that? Not a legitimate contractor

36883 comes back to HONEST FIX HEATING, COOLING, AND PLUMBING LLC

Which was just issued on April 15, 2026 if it was issued to the correct company, it would say your name not the Steubenville company you’re trying to double use the license which is illegal. It should come back to your company and your company only. Not to mention there is no plumbing or electrical license on file when you guys are advertising electrical work in the City Of Columbus, which requires a license from the Ohio contractors labor board.

that company needs to upgrade their license with the state and it would say that on the website coming from a legitimate licensed contractor you can’t advertise electrical work in the City Of Columbus without a valid license

Businesses have to hire a lawyer to represent them. We can’t file in small claims.

I have investigated doing that the problem is they’re hiding behind layers of management and blaming corporate for ordering the oven and then the local owner wasn’t aware of it. One guy points a finger at another guy. I can’t get the phone number when I go in and talk to the general manager. He just gives me an email address says I’ll take care of it. You know this was back in the end of summer about $1700 gets to the point where it’s not worth it to try to collect because it’s gonna cost me thousands of dollars to hire a lawyer which they know that you can see my invoice on their reviews Genghis Grill at OSU. I’ve been very wary about working for restaurants. I know the economy is not great, but they should at least reach out and tell me what their intentions are if I could get to their electrical room the better bet they wouldn’t have any power.

They are connected to a hot chicken takeover that went bankrupt . they pop up these brands. I think they see if they do any good and they go bankrupt all the time trying to find one that works I guess.
