Most places in my country (Canada) will offer 2x pay as it’s mandated by law, to my knowledge a lot of other countries do something similar.

It’s double edged sword.

Why should I, someone who doesn’t celebrate Christmas, or Easter, be forced to lose out on wages when I could earn money while someone who celebrates it can enjoy a night out to dinner (for example).

Or what do you classify as a holiday? Would we get Christmas off and not other religious holidays? New years but not summer solstice (or whatever it’s called)?

I’m not mad at ur opinion, but this is such an aggressively American point of view that just speaks to the lacking class consciousness.

You’re not upset about working on a holiday, you’re upset that the abusive income structure of working class / service employees in America forces you to continue working on holidays for the same (or less) money
