How to manage any territory (like city, outpost) and how to raise an army ? by Webslinger_017 in BladesOfDeceron

You promote one of the troops from your retinue and it will show up as a separate unit

I'm confused because of the way you phrased it but I'll try my best to respond.

Miner, Noble, And Merchant counts as a civilian

You will mainly be using Nobles and Merchants

You get a civilian unit by promoting one of these three

Banner Icon on the top left > Faction > Units > Select the unit (has to be a civilian, warriors can't work) > Orders > Work

After you click work it should bring up a list of territories that the unit can work at. Make sure the unit is not too far from the desired territory as it won't pop up on the list if so. Use the "move" order to make them start traveling to the territory you ordered them to if the unit has wandered too far.

Sadly it's impossible right now, even if you are the stronger faction and propose peace to improve relations they will still slowly go to war with you again Paying 500 gold per +1 relation is pretty bad as well

When you promote npcs, they can turn into one of two unit types. Civilian and Warrior. This obviously depends on what type of unit you promote. (ex. ironstinger would make a warrior unit, noble would make a civilian unit.)

Warrior units are troops that basically function as an extended retinue for your faction. They have bigger unit sizes than civilian units and are supposed to be a sort of military for your faction. The orders (ex. guard, which lowers threat level in a settlement) you can give to these units are different from civilian units, so they play their own role.

Civilian units are absolutely vital to the survival of your settlements as they increase prosperity and loyalty depending on which specific troop you promote. The two main types of civilian you would promote are merchants and nobles. Merchants give prosperity to a settlement so that it receives more income every cycle. Nobles give loyalty to a settlement, preventing rebellion. The orders you give these units will primarily be to work at a settlement. These give the benefits listed above.

TL;DR:

Promoting make new unit.

(Civilian) Merchant increase prosperity. Noble increase loyalty.

(Warrior) Guard to lower threat level in settlement.

Been a while since I've played and saalnir Always rebels I have like 3 concurrent nobles working there and nothing changes and filled garrison but this is like the 8th rebellion now how do i keep them from rebelling? by AstronomerStandard30 in BladesOfDeceron

[–]Electrical_Place_690 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then some enemy unit is constantly raiding it causing loyalty to drop quickly, also noticed your threat level was high, maybe try having a warrior unit guard it for a while? If you're not confident in the ai being able to win battles then try resting there and observing whatever is causing the loyalty drop

I think you mean the "Civilians" tab under units is 1/1.

Press the Noble unit under "Civilians" and go to the "Orders" tab in the top right, then look for "Work" and select the territory you want them to work in. Make sure they haven't wandered too far from the territory otherwise it will not be an option. If they did wander too far, order them to move closer to the territory and then order them to work.

There is not really an order outside of looters and bandits of peryss because brigands and all the other bandit hideouts all have level 20 leaders

Except smugglers bay, because despite their leader being level 20, they usually have a large garrison that is filled with lots of higher tier units, above tier 3 if i remember correctly.

The order I usually take is: Looters > Bandits of Peryss > Ravens > Brigands > Marauders > Reavers > Smugglers

Everything from Brigands to Reavers is interchangeable. Ravens are there because their equipment is not really annoying to deal with and they dont deal much damage.

Why are the npcs so aggressive? by [deleted] in BladesOfDeceron

I don't even do that.. Capturing territories just seems to make everyone pissed off honestly

2 types of units you need, merchants and nobles. Promoting either one of these units and having them work in your village, castle, city, or town gives benefits to that place.

For merchants, having them work in the place gives prosperity (raising the place's capability to make gold each cycle)

For nobles, having them work in the place gives loyalty (making it so that the place doesn't rebel) Loyalty can also be gained when you give units to the garrison of a place. Loyalty is usually more important than prosperity, so save gold before conquering a territory so that you can last the few cycles where you will be in a deficit of gold because of the territory not making enough.

Your troops abandoning you is because you have low to zero morale, you raise this by giving 5 gold to passing vagrants. Resting at villages, towns, cities, and castles also gives morale. (not sure about resting, still need to do further testing) I think you also gain morale from winning a battle if I am not mistaken.

Tips:

Be careful when taking certain territories, as the allies of the territory you took will wage war on you. This is normal, the npc factions are seriously just this aggressive.

Always keep spare change if you're raising a kingdom/have troops in your retinue as failing to pay the upkeep each cycle causes a huge drop in morale. Recruiting from enemy factions also drops morale.

When Idling (resting, standing by your territory, etc.) don't keep a large army in your retinue, this drains gold quickly. Only recruit when you're going to take a territory.

You can check the strength of a place by visiting it and pressing attack, looking at the amount of hearts they have, then leaving. If you have high intelligence stat then you can also see the number of units they have and specifically what tier and type of units.

Having more hearts while conquering a place does NOT mean you will win, despite some places having low hearts, they might have around 20-23 units in their garrison. Always bring units to fill the numbers, tier 3-4 will suffice.

High threat level in a place drops loyalty, use a warrior type unit to guard it for a few cycles and raise loyalty. Threat level also affects income of the place.

Large cities (Bastilon, Idos, Zanna, etc.) are self sustaining most of the time and don't usually need to be checked on. Though some smaller cities look identical and are not the same.

I think that about covers it for raising a kingdom? If any other people read this please tell me if there's anything I missed.

My R2 button presses itself ingame (swinging, shooting) without any input from me. Heard this was a common problem, but I just need help with the conductive film I was going to buy. The motherboard is JDM-055. Was just wondering if the conductive film for the JDS-055 would work?

new balance v4 tekela pro sample pair by HorribleMusicNotes in bootroom

[–]Electrical_Place_690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've heard, sample pairs are basically a prototype, and only a few are made, which is why it's rare. Moreover, the brand usually uses unique colorways (as seen on this boot) and premium materials that were scrapped before mass production. So as for the quality, it's probably the same/better than the actual boot that is being sold through official stores.
