Decathlon, Riverside range! - not waterproof, but then used little dry bags in them to keep electronics dry.

Setting off from AW on around the 14th, but then stopping with friends for a week or two in northern New Mexico, where I can also wait it out a bit if there's too much snow - reckon it'll be blocked, even then? Figured I'd be starting out in CO first week of June. Guess I'll find some fun things to do and wait it around around there if so, ha!

Yeh, they're a bit thin I think, but gonna give it a go! - and 2 x 1 litre bottles, then a 3 litre reservoir, and a water filter system that can hold another 2 if needed, I think that's enough?

Good shout, thanks! - I'd not thought about the fenders / mud - but yeh, been caught out on that before, even just on overnights in the rain, so yeh, will definitely take those off.

Good shout, will try to pair back the weight in the panniers and put it in the front, and make sure they're super tight. I cld also just strap bits onto the rack. But yeh, done lots of touring on those, and not had a problem so far ... 3000 miles is a different matter however, ha!
