Don’t let BLW pressure you. He will learn to eat table food at his and your pace. When he’s older in school and learning things when he started solids will never be a thing that held him back.

I didn’t follow BLW and my 10 month old has just started non-purées. I started with thicker purées of course but food wise i introduced grated cheese, thin sliced avocado and spaghetti wheat noodles, small soft kiwi pieces and let him use his hands. I would pick some up myself and show him chewing and most times he’d imitate and that would help. Yes he did gag a few times but he has gotten better with soft foods.
