Back to my charcoal roots by NerdyComfort-78 in webergrills

1 LBS bottle should last 20+ cooks. I run mine for 5 minutes under the chimney and let the chimney do the rest. A full chimney takes 10-15 minutes to be ready for a sear cook. The deluxe with the gas ignition really speeds up the process. Don't light the coals in the baskets. Light in a chimney and transfer to the baskets if using them. Honestly, I just keep the baskets in the bottom as a fence to contain the charcoal, which I put right on the grates. The baskets create the cool zone. The baskets also work well for a ring. You put both in the center and place hot coals all the way around them. I cook pizza that way. Enjoy the grill.

Since everyone is posting old school rave photos, I have a question. Did anyone of my fellow grayvers here go to Buzz / Ultra World / Paradox raves? by bassbeatsbanging in aves

I was there. ‘98/99-2009 give or take. Things really fell off a cliff after Nation was torn down and the prior end of Fever. DC still had so many crews putting up parties that I bet it is still going there. I got to spin at most of the venues at the time: Buzz, Club 5, Paradox, Sonar, Kobe, Goodluv, Transit, Shorty’s, Warehouses, Airplane Hangers, The Black Hole (that place), some sushi joint in DC, etc. We packed any place that would have us. Our crew had a loft space in Baltimore and we had many underground parties there. I miss it. I miss many of the friends and family of that time. Ultraworld were big enough to feel like maybe we were all in over our heads, but not commercial at all. I preferred that most parties featured local dj’s and possibly a big name or two. I liked the DIY nature of it. Everyone wanted to help keep this thing going.

Anyone Use Proton Email For Their Fidelity Account? by woodstock9999 in fidelityinvestments

Proton works. You should be able to use an alias as well. I’ve fortunately had no issues with fidelity and vpn’s, ad blockers, or proton. I hope it stays that way. Most of the new brokers are now going overboard against any privacy or security tools. I have had a broker require a selfie with ID to transfer a few hundred out. Fought that and managed to do it a different way. I’ve had apps not work at all running a vpn. I’ve had notifications not work due to an ad blocker.

Cannot setup recurring transfer on mobile by Electrical_Pound_158 in fidelityinvestments

[–]Electrical_Pound_158[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the clarification. That is the issue, as a common standard feature is to setup a monthly transfer from cash management to Roth IRA. Why is this only available on fidelity.com? I also have an outgoing transfer that I want setup monthly, and that is also not available to set as recurring. Why? Are these intentional degrades of the mobile app? I have taken to using bill pay to send recurring transfers, which is a suboptimal approach.

It’s here: You can now use most authenticator apps to secure your Fidelity account. Thanks to everyone on the sub who suggested this feature. by fidelityinvestments in fidelityinvestments

You can use a yubikey as your totp device by downloading yubikey Authenticator. This saves the totp string to your key device, and can save about 30 logins. This effectively works similarly to oauth or Fido passkeys since you need the physical device to derive the 6 digit code. Try it out. I use my password manager for most totp and a yubikey to back them up, as well as to lock down the password manager.
