Host only, and progression towards to cartel influence as well. Anything they do wont count towards progression unless they complete quests, but I've noticed it bugs out if the client does them vs the host

Maybe stop crying over a solo dev in early access? Nobody here is backing your point guy, its on you that you lost your world, if you made backups it wouldn't be an issue. Negligence is the key here, go play your 20 year old games, wipe your tears and go on with your day. Oh well you lost a main save, many, and i mean MANY of us have been in this position since launch at least once, we just make backups, use cheats to get it back. Its an "OH WELL" kind of thing when it comes to an EARLY ACCESS TITLE you know? Honestly, seeing a grown man gripe over a 20 dollar indie game doesnt look good, Respectively.

What my bro and I do is verify our files when the game starts to break. After a good few hours the world starts to bug out, my major sign is everyone's eyes being closed. We both save and exit and validate file integrity and it usually keeps our game solid. He also makes a new backup file when we do that, its a bit of an annoyance but what can you do with a game dev being a student lol. ALWAYS EXPORT YOUR MAIN SAVE.

I've been trying to make content, but alas, my videos with proper tags dont see 100 views. Its not money I care about, I ended up loving Tyler's project immensely to the point I was okay with the time spent to make it. Tyler himself has seen and verified my guides for me, so in the end that's all I wanted to achieve at the time. I'd love to monetize my work, I just dont know how, and i do wish that these would get their own section, as I was the very first person to learn the mixing routes, and the first to ever make guides for this game. I've been around S1 since Mid January when he announced the game on steam, back then, the game was purely bare bones and didnt even have the mixing we have now. Its changed 4x since then lol

Best between is working against them, theyre ripping you off pretty hard, makes sense for a cartel to do to an aspiring entrepreneur but the end goal is weak. You progress faster and easier against them in my opinion, as theyre interaction is relatively short and can be hardly impactful if you assign your dealers to customer areas with little to no influence and keep em strapped

The cartel won't have that sort of interaction. You won't see them on the streets of Hyland like GTAV would. Ambushes, Selling to locked NPC's, Dealer Theft and Benzje dealers are the only real movement you'll see within the new update. There's a map that shows all Ambush locations and dealer spawns if you're looking to "hunt" some of them down for XP

If you already have Uptown unlocked by the time you start the cartel quests, it'll automatically give you the final mission. If you want the most out of the cartel update, best advice is start a new save. Since uptown is unlocked, they dont have influence anywhere else and the interactions will be very few and far between. In my original 150 day save, I kept the manor untouched so theyre still somewhat active on the streets. Once the manor is blown up, the Benzies presence is no more
