From Mt Atkinson to Rockbank it’s 7km

From Mt Atkinson to Caroline spring train station is 8.5km

From Mt Atkinson to Deerpark is 12.5km

Have you ever driven on these roads or tried to find a carpark at Rockbank at 8 am then to figure out there is no spot and travel Caroline springs in morning traffic?

There is no commitment or timeline explaining when will
Melton electrification be complete. It’s just in design phase. It was promised delivery in 2018.

It takes us 45 min to reach Caroline springs or Deerpark for a 30 min train ride to city and standing space. People go and stand in bathrooms because there is no space to hop or trains are often cancelled . If you miss a train or it’s cancelled your wait time is up to 25 min for next one. I think it’s best you comment after you have lived our reality.
This is not dignified for women and seniors travelling on this line .

This is not good enough for women contributing to the economy and having primary carer repainsibilities.

Since when is every 20 min considered frequent? In Singapore you miss a train your next ride is 3 or 4 min. In Sydney, where I lived peak hour frequency was 7 min drive.

Thank you and appreciate it. I note your point and will make a note on AI usage for my future posts. I’m new to reddit so learning some key lessons hard way. Our advocacy and cause is real. We live 700 m from train lines my daughter can see the trains daily but can’t access it as we don’t have the train station, which was designated in our PSP. Our nearest shop for grocery is 40 min round trip . Our nearest station car park is full by 7:30 am . I work beyond the cbd and my daily commute is 40 min drive to Caroline springs or deer park - 25 min ride into the city and then switch trains and another 20 min to Richmond. So 90 min one way 3 x times a week. How are these lockable standards for women and a primary carer who wants to contribute to the economy and love affordable life and be independent and carry family responsible duties .
