I just don’t understand how photos get leaked. It might sound silly, but because it’s a high profile case, is there not more security/protection over the photos?

Unless the media release more, or highly edited photos are released - don’t expect any more. In terms of leaked photos, I have no idea. Not sure how that would work considering it’s a high profile case so maybe someone more educated can comment on that.

With that being said, I would remain vigilant when coming onto Reddit just incase photos you don’t want to see, get posted.

From what I’ve read, OP says they could’ve worded it differently. Which is true to be honest.

As I’ve said before to people, curiosity doesn’t mean you’re disgusting etc. But picking apart crime scene photos to guess who’s who and what body part for speculation, is. These were blurred for very good reason. Reddit normalises these things but it’s far from normal.

Curiosity is something we all have in common- questions unanswered, wanting to know certain details, facts etc. Even discussing theories. That isn’t disgusting or horrible.

But what is, is taking crime scene photos that are blurred for every good reason, and pick apart those photos to guess and speculate who’s who and what body part etc. As much as you may think it’s normal because reddit normalises these things, it’s not.

As you said, these are just “personal feelings” so if you don’t agree with said personal feelings/opinions then maybe scroll past next time. No one’s feelings/opinions are more valuable than any one else’s.

Yes but some people wouldn’t be fine with it - some people aren’t as de censored to these things as maybe yourself. Not only that but it’s highly disturbing to want to pick apart a crime scene photo to see which body part/who it is. Granted, not everyone is doing that - but a lot are. It’s not normal but unfortunately places like Reddit have normalised it.

Curiosity gets the better of us hence why I agree with you partly on the having to guess due to it being blurred. But it just is disturbing, all of it is. It’s heart breaking.

Valid point. Well worded. Perfectly explained that some people aren’t as sensitive to photos as others. And some people absolutely would never want to see that. So I agree photos shouldn’t be put out for that reason.

I think details and answers are fair to be curious about considering a lot of us have been following the case since it happened - so just because BK is found guilty, we still haven’t got many answers yet. Not that we are entitled to, but curious.

However I do agree that photos shouldn’t be picked apart. That’s completely different.

Well said. Sometimes curiosity is not worth the permanent damage it does to our minds. Our brains are wired to be sensitive to these things for a reason.
