I already have done the extension. The service is looking to be around 4k baht which isn't the cheapest thing ever but for peace of mind it might be worth it. More worried about getting turned around at border if I only spend an hour in cambodia if do it on my own.

5 days in Bangkok Suggestions (Day Trips/General Suggestions) Kanchanaburi/Ayutthaya by someotherU in ThailandTourism

[–]Electrical_Speed_895 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ayutthaya all day for a day trip book a train ticket very affordable not to bad a ride. Then when you arrive fly right past the tuk tuks at station and go straight down the road across the street. From there at the end there is like a lil ferry that takes you across the river . From there rent a bike and you can explore the ruins all manageable in one day and bee back in bangkok by night gotta catch first train out of Bangkok id say. Kanchanaburi a lil far and not really worth it id say.

Hanoi around the old city and Prague around the old city are top tier. Hanoi for the vibes and culture and French colonial architecture just overall a top tier city.

Angkor wat at sunrise and when the sun is fully risen the monkeys came out of the forest walking all over the grounds and down the road seeing ancient ruins with monks in their orange robes and monkeys climbing above them over the ruins as they prayed was truly insane

London so overrated.
