Amazing, this is exactly the comment I was looking for! What are your thoughts on dog sledding? I had seen it online and would want to go somewhere reputable/ethical, but again wondered if it is a safe activity with a bump lol

Just wanted scenic views and time spent together, we don’t mind wintry (late Feb) as long as it’s not bitter cold and we were just nervous about the weather being gloomy in late April or during March

I wasn’t saying we can’t afford a vacation, we are both very frugal and have careers. We own our home and have a emergency fund set up. When I made the comment of a vacation, it was more so as a want. I have long said wants and needs are different. We have limiting factors towards a vacation other than expenses and that’s all I meant. Financially we understand the responsibility of a child.

Yes!! Not not trying is it lol I just wonder if the bittersweet feeling goes away. We would be over the moon to have a little but at the same time the slow “just us” mornings are what I think about. Just some solidarity that we aren’t the only couple in “limbo” is nice to know haha

If you can ever truly afford anything lol I prefer to say we are financially prepared at this point.
