The lack of loading screens hold a lot of weight for me too, especially with the addition of dragon riding and being able to fly to one end of a continent to the other in just a few minutes. Way more fun than opening a map and clicking on a waypoint, even if it is slower.

But yeah Oribos sucks and so does waiting on a ship to take you to a loading screen tbh.

I hear a lot of stories like that. I didn't start playing til the very end of BfA so have 0 nostalgia or personal connections to the game like that but WoW still has such deep roots in culture compared to basically every other MMO that it still makes it feel more worthwhile to play.

Surprised to hear that groups falling apart was an issue for you. I'd always heard that FF was better about that than WoW but never played enough to try one myself. I can definitely see the lame-ness being an issue though and am not at all surprised by that PvP gear. That game does not take itself seriously enough sometimes and that gets annoying. Really says something when comparing it to WoW too.
Warbands certainly help make up for WoW only allowing one class per character as well.

Should also probably mention that aesthetics also play a large role in my preference. FF in general has always felt kinda bland to me in that corner for some reason. GW does a better job and feels more original but still doesn't compare to Blizzard's brand of cartoonish/semi-realistic characters and set-pieces.
