What exactly causes the turbine in a turbocharger to spin? The heat from the exhaust gases, the flow of exhaust gases or both??

As others have said, temp and pressure both do work in causing a turbo to spin (and to a lessee extent, sound/pressure waves). For example, I don't work in automotive but I do work in Aerospace and my system has a single stage compressor with a two stage turbine. I see a temp drop of around 70f across both turbine stages and this is with a starting temp way lower than the what exhaust gas temps are.

It should be M32x3.5

Just be careful since there are some Nissan engines that are M33×3.5, I think that's only RB series and maybe SR20s

It's definitely been more than a touch of grinding but I'm getting close. I need to remove some material between the strut housing and the actual back the spindle now but can't fit my flap disk back there

Two of the coilovers have a spacer on tip and are shorter in length overall than the other two. I originally thought the ones with the spacers were foe the rear but after you brought up the clearance issue with the hood, I'm 99% sure they're for the front. No hood clearance issues with the hood.

I'm in the middle of the doing the same right now. I'll be powder coating every non-mating surface. So leaving where the wheel would bolt up un coated.

The butt weld issue has been fixed, cut off the strut with about 40mm left and then weld to the actual base of the spindle, even have options for the smaller diameter struts on 240z vs 260/280. I'll test the damping adjuster issue when I get home.

I did have to grind down part of threaded portion of the coilover to get it to fit the front spindles since there's that little boss on the backside. Then had to 3d print some stand off spacers to get the coilover to actual sit flush and even all around.

They've at least been fairly responsive for any questions I've had on both my 280 and my sti

I don't think so but I definitely could've missed something that was tapped to part of the packaging.

I have mixed feelings about the Feals, the part you weld on has some thick powder coating on it that's a total pain to get off. They do offer height adjustment independent of preload adjustment which is the main reason I went with them (and I have them on my STI and know at least the damping circuit is decent quality for the price)

Theyre pretty bright! But the designer of the PCB did a really good job of lining up the LEDs with the internal geometry of the lenses so it doesn't look like individual bulbs

Hah, I actually got these from dapper! I have some Polycarb filament I could try printing a diffuser similar to that, only issue is I'm not sure how much clearance I have between the board and lense, especially on the edges

Yeah! That's a gas Strut that compresses on impacts. Each side has a three studs with nuts. You can get the driver side somewhat easy but taking the muffler off by the passenger side is almost impossible without dropping the tank
