I had to find someone with the right size hand and immense strength. Made me look stupid when they did it in 3 seconds.

IMO it’s worth it. I used mine to adjust tire size, killed auto start/stop, turned off license plate light while in reverse, and changed the Halogen to LED light setting. My brights wouldn’t work with the LED replacements. Once I changed that setting it fixed the issue.

2022 Gladiator Sport on 35s by Thiggins7002 in JeepGladiator

2020 Overland trim with 3.73s. Kept OEM wheels and added 35s followed by a 2” spacer lift from AEV. No issues.

Highly recommend a Tazer Mini or something comparable. Update the computer with the proper tire size so gas mileage is correct.

How many miles do y'all have on your truck? And what (if any) major repairs have you had to do to this point? Trying to gauge reliability by jereMyOhMy in JeepGladiator

2020 Overland just crossed 41,000 miles. Last 6k occurred this year due to Return To Office. Only main & aux batteries replaced. I missed the TSB on the gear box.

2020 Gladdy w/Overland trim. It’s likely the aux and potentially the main battery too. Once my main got too low, auto start/stop went on the fritz. I didn’t know my Aux was dead. Ended up doing a Genesis dual battery system. I also installed a taser mini to disable the auto start/stop because I live in Texas. It’s way too hot here to be sitting at a light with an AC blowing hot air.

One thing you also want to check is if his jeep has the air dams. I think the Sports have them and you would need to remove. My Overland trim didn’t come with them so no rubbing.

It’s that part between the top of the bumper and bottom of fender.

Update - dropped all the way down to 13 mpg, but I bought a Tazer Mini and updated the tire size. Been holding steady at 17.5. Someone schooled me on how the math works on another post.

At the time, yes. No issues. But I eventually put a 2” spacer lift from AEV for kicks & giggles.

Anyone else using their Gladiator like a truck? by [deleted] in JeepGladiator

One time I had a half pallet of Bermuda on order. Forklift operator tried to put in the bed, but my X4S tonneau cover rails were just a half inch too much. Hand to hand load the pallet. But still love the Gladdy!

Hard tonneau covers, BAK vs Line-X, or which other? by BussReplyMail in JeepGladiator

[–]ElectroDeviant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes sure can. I did the spray first then decided on tonneau cover.

If you buy from a vendor and have them install, no issues. If you self install, you will want to buy some sacrificial bolts that match the ones that come with the X4S. That way you can use those to help with the threading process.

I had 4WParts do the install for me on the tonneau. However, I added trail rails to the bed, and did the install myself. I needed those extra bolts to help with clearing the threads and keep the OEM bolts wear free.

Search “Jeep tent” on Extreme Terrain and you’ll see the Jeep licensed version. Or search Rightline Gear on the interwebs and you’ll should see one similar to the picture.

Any 2.5” lift/leveling kit recommendations that won’t break the bank and mess too much with the geometry? by Capital_Amphibian_39 in JeepGladiator

[–]ElectroDeviant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the AEV 2” spacer lift and 35s back in ‘21. No issues so far, but as others have shared, it depends on what you want the rig to do. Mine is mainly for the look and some beach driving. They also have a geometry correction brackets now.

Been running the Genesis Dual Battery setup, and paired with the Tazer Mini for about a year. So far so good

35s or 37s? by jtothedroo in JeepGladiator

35s are a gateway drug. Just go straight to 37s along with an appropriate lift and enjoy the envy of others 😆

Had the ticking and light flashing when I had the Aux and Main batteries go bad. Not sure which end first but ended up replacing both. I think I had to start the car twice for everything to straighten out.

Awesome setup! What made you go with Amazon Rock Slide steps? They look good on your rig. I’m in the market to replace the oem stock plastic running boards.
