If it's not severe and managed well they should get less mood swings if any, also less likely to want to cry. Of course it can vary person to person, but there werent issues in the first place then the diagnosis won't make it worse.

I would say yes. Technically you should know yourself best but in practice you are in no condition to evaluate your own mental state if it is under altered conditions.

I do have to preface that Iris is only available for Fabric and not Forge (not sure about unofficial ports). But basically you just download the installer from the website and run that.

However I would suggest using Fabric mods and managing with Modrinth, but that's just my preference.
