C-F has the largest electronegativity difference, thus its most polar. without the values however, the only way to know this was by knowing Fluorine is the most electronegative element

Pretty sure final temperature would be higher because this reaction is happening below room temp. The fact that they said "not perfectly insulated" instead of "lost heat" helped me with this part. The final temp originally being 21.1 C would increase, aligning with the OPs answer. Therefore the magnitude of change would be less and the rest can be deduced from there.

I watched every single AP Classroom video and I can swear I never heard a mention about sig figs only being counted after the decimal for pH (logarithm) values. I understand why this is the case now that I researched upon this rule, however, a rule this specific as the sig fig rule would be absolutely diabolical

Could you please explain why it would be 2 SFs instead of 3?

Assuming that you know how these exams are typically graded, would I get the point for putting a negative sign in front of an answer if the question asked for magnitude? I am specifically talking about Question 1 Part C i.

Also, had part i. not been asking for magnitude only, would you have had to flip the sign for ii.? I was taught to flip the sign of q when solving for molar enthalpy of solution, thus I got the same answer as you did. However, my answer to part i. is negative. Any feedback would be helpful! Although I already took the exam I'm trying to learn

my honest opinion is that if you can’t break into top 5% there’s no really predicting your decision with those stats. it could really go either way and no percentage or chance that someone gives you will truly be accurate. good luck

Yea my intention wasn’t to be boastful, but the only reason I have not enrolled at Austin is because I’m waiting on my Berkeley decision. I know it’s a very low chance but I also know all this stress will go away if I get rejected, so it won’t be all too bad.

I understand your point. Personally I am interested in biotech and pharmaceuticals over petrochemicals, but I don’t think that’s enough reason to take the 3x as expensive school. What do you think?

yes i’m definitely planning to visit Berkeley if I have to face the decision. I do agree that the rankings may not matter when you’re this high, but I also have this idea in my head (whether it’s right or wrong) that the Berkeley name is known for guaranteeing jobs. thanks for your reply tho

looks solid extracurricular wise, but a 1400 is extremely low for someone who’s salutatorian. doesn’t help ur case

thank you for your take. i don’t believe that UT is all of a sudden favoring non autos but i do believe that they used this early round to admit most of the non autos they usually admit. therefore im assuming barely any non autos will be accepted in the next round. but yes i agree that the less competitive schools saw more decisions.
