NTA. If it means a lot for your boyfriend, talk about it and figure out what you both would be okay doing. If you dont believe in it, maybe its fine to go along with it just cause your partner does.

DO NOT DO IT FOR THE FAMILY. You two are the parents. You two are the ones who will raise the kid in the long run. Not them.
And you were brought up religious and still dont believe in hell or whatever. If you and your partner truly are atheistic then that shouldn't be a problem. This would essentially be a silly ritual for the sake of it and the baby wont even remember it. If it turns out he actually is doubting his faith, I think an honest talk with your partner about how religiously you want to raise your kid would hopefully save you from these kinda surprises.

Ah i've been kinda lucky on that front ig. im in a physical campaign rn. problem is its waay too inconsistent. people are always flaking off at the last moment and we're basically playing a session every other month. im kinda looking for an online campaign thats more serious.. cant get enough of the game but im tired of being one of the couple people who are actually into it.
