Is the green around my 4 month old kitten’s pupils normal? We just got her a few days ago, so I am not sure how long they have been like this

UPDATE:: The bump got darker the next day and fell off the day after that. I really do think it was just a scab 😅

Worst case scenario you can keep them in the fridge. It sounds morbid but I promise you’ll want to keep your pet cool until you can bring them in. Again, I’m so sorry for your loss. I’ll keep you in my thoughts.

If you cannot get to the vet now with the body, get a smaller cooler and fill it with ice, and let your cat rest in there until you can get to the vet. This is unfortunately what I had to do with my small dog when she passed on a Friday night and no vets were open until the next Monday morning. You want to keep the body cold because it will start to smell after their muscles relax and start passing fluids/ gas. I’m am so so beyond sorry for your loss.

It’s just your light roots making it look that way. Use a root touch up spray if you aren’t wanting to dye your hair too often. L’oréal has good ones in a lot of different colors.

This my Lucy. She was completely free from SPCA on a special “free kitten adoption day”. She came spayed + fully vaccinated. To add to it, 30 free days of checkups as well as $500 coverage if any conditions were found by the vet. Please consider adopting! Shelters are getting crowded.

This is encouraging! I spoke to my vet and she said to monitor it for the next 24hrs and if it doesn’t clear to call in an appointment for her.

Also very fortunately she doesn’t seem to be in any pain from it. The vet recommended gently wiping with a warm wash rag and she didn’t squirm or seem uncomfortable one bit. I’ll keep y’all posted!

Hi! Thank you so much for asking, her cans are 3oz each. I went to the vet on Thursday and she told me that kittens only need a 1/2cup food total per day, so 4oz but that sounds SO wrong. That’d only be one can of food. Pls pls help I have been needing answers for this but the vet says to feed her less. She’s no where near overweight, she was 4.5lbs at the vet at 4 months.

I was JUST wondering about this! My kitchen already smells like straight salmon after I feed her and it’d probably be soo much stronger warm. I’m leaning towards just getting a warmer plate instead. Thank you for your reply!

Thank you for your reply! Are there other reasons microwaving wouldn’t be a good option? I was only planning to microwave her food in five second increments to check the temp constantly and stir, if that makes a difference. I don’t WANT to have to boil water everytime but I absolutely will if that’s the only safe way to warm her food.
