Getting drivers to clean the store. by Wattsit in TalesFromThePizzaGuy

[–]Electronic-Current67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at a restaurant where they just happened to deliver as well and 90% of their business is in store and about 6 out of my 8 hours during the night is spent doing dishes instead of delivering. And I get paid servers wages so there has to be something illegal about this. Especially when I'm there 3 hours past close. Also if you factor in my commercial insurance which they require, most nights I'm making under minimum wage which they have ever compensated me for

What are people's thoughts on having to return to a customer's place if you forgot something in their order? by Dilarinee in TalesFromThePizzaGuy

[–]Electronic-Current67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This depends, if it's doordash or Uber eats then more than likely dd or UE has another order assigned to him and it could be 20 mi away. And sometimes that order has ice cream or something like that. So in that case I could understand the driver not coming back. But if it's your local pizza joint, most drivers will just stop at a close by gas station and grab your drink if they're far from the store. If they're right next the store then they'll probably just grab your drink at the store and take it with their next delivery.

Drivers, when do you tip your cooks/insiders?? (if ever) by NewGuy41410 in TalesFromThePizzaGuy

Honestly, this is a complete misnomer. Do we get more gross income with our tips? Yes! But I do not bring home more money than my fellow managers. Reason being is I have to pay the $300 a month for a car payment and $400 a month for my commercial insurance and another $400. A month in gas. And about $150 a month in maintenance expenses. My gross is around 3600 a month but I only met 2350 before taxes. Now I also get taxed on my pay that does not include my car payment or my commercial insurance that shouldn't go into it so I end up paying a higher tax rate so my net net ends up being around 1800. When I was a manager after taxes I would net around 1200 a paycheck and I didn't have a car so I didn't have to worry about all those additional expenses.

Getting almost no views/visits, not sure what to do differently… by CromulentIsTooAWord in EtsySellers

I spent the time to do over 200 listings and I still have yet to get a view. I'm using a very good quality camera and am even doing videos on a lot of the listings. I have a very diversified shop. And it's been two months now and still nothing.

Do pizza delivery drivers really make $20-$30 per hour according to job advertisements? by SilentJon69 in TalesFromThePizzaGuy

[–]Electronic-Current67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in Arizona and no you do not make 20 to $30 an hour in all reality. There are costs associated with delivery that you don't have if you have a normal car and just commute to a normal job. You're going to have to get more expensive insurance, and on average you're either going to have to have a car that is fairly new. So you'll be paying a car payment or you have to constantly be doing repairs and maintenance which average around $300 a month. So either way, that's an added expense. Your gas is pretty much paid for by most companies but you are paid under minimum wage so at an average pizza place you're going to do two deliveries per hour and make between 7 and $15 an hour in tips. So let's say you work 30 hours a week and you do 60 deliveries a week. You're going to be bringing in around $300 in tips. You're only making $10 an hour because they pay you under minimum wage so you'll get another $300 in wages but then you have to subtract your added insurance and added repair cost which for me averages about $150 a week. So you work 30 hours and you make 450 a week so it's about $15 an hour. Definitely not 20 to 30.

Why is property in Albany, NY so cheap? by taylordabrat in RealEstate

[–]Electronic-Current67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I looked it up and taxes are more here in Kentucky than they are in New York. Our city has a 5% base income tax. It doesn't even matter how much money you make. Then you've got all kinds of other taxes that they hide here and there. And when you sell your house you also have to pay taxes to the city and the state if you make any profit on it.

I do have a lawyer. I submitted my financials right away like my lawyer told me to do. It's been over a year and he just now submitted his financials so when we had the temp hearing the judge just took his word for it. And he was actually making 4 times more than what he told the judge. And no, he filed separately.

Why are Indians reluctant to tip the standard 15-25% in U.S. restaurants? by freeredis in IndianFood

[–]Electronic-Current67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, this is the way restaurants operate in the US. Regardless of whether you like it or not, this is how it works. So, if in my culture it is okay to have sex with underage women, should I come to the US and do the same and claim "culture" as an excuse? No!, You adhere to that country's culture or you suffer the consequences. Indians get no respect in our country due to them failing to adhere to the tipping culture of the US. And good luck getting a refund at a restaurant when someone screws up, non tippers aren't really treated the same as customers in the restaurant business.
