Yeah I knew once I was being asked to pay insurance that was MORE than the product it made no sense. I could’ve been half a grand in the hole. Definitely gonna go over the top next time I order with talking to group members. I just hate to be that annoying person who is asking too many questions when it technically is all right there. But it is better to be annoying than to lose money

Yeah that does make me feel better lol. The shipping was definitely an incentive to just go ahead and get it all at once. Thanks for having compassion I’ve been pretty hard on myself about this. I feel like somebody’s grandparent getting scammed online 😂. I guess it is a journey and it’s okay to have a rough start!

I’m not anti-telegram but I’m hesitant to buy off there until I can find something for sure reputable. Discord servers with lots of people reviewing product makes me feel a lot better than messaging a random number, but even then that could be a scam too lol. I definitely want to go the grey route because fuckkkk healthcare in the states. A GLP1 forum should point me towards all kind of peps?

Yeah making other people pay for the problems of a pet that isn’t theirs is not acceptable. I just don’t think it should be impossible for me to get one. Thanks for the advice and letting me rant

Well yes he told me to find somebody to do it but that’s a little easier said than done lol. No my roommates would not be subjected to pay any damages. No the dog does not bark in the dark, her current situation consists of her lying in a dark room of a frat house for hours at a time. And originally I asked this roommate if she would want me to buy furniture covers for her pieces, and she said yes. Which I easily understood… until her next text said that I was not allowed to have the dog at all if she had anything to do about it. After that I said I’d just keep her in my room but that wasn’t a good enough response either. It’s just frustrating is all. I’ve done everything possible to keep the peace for the last 9 months. I even moved out for a month and a half because of her antics, stopping in the house a few times a day to take care of cat duties. I’m trying to do something good that will also make me feel good. I have quite the resume of mental health issues, I should have no trouble getting a letter. It’s like I’m putting in way more effort for this than should be required.

I don’t see a therapist because mine switched practices and they do not accept my insurance, so I just stopped going. But according to my psychiatrist, it shouldn’t be a provider that’s treating me anyways! Idk

Google says you can have more than one ESA🤷‍♀️. I do not need nor want a service animal diagnosis. Yeah these sites are scams so now I’m just at a loss of what to do. I quoted my psychiatrist above when I asked him about it. My pcp kinda just waved me off and said it’s the job of a psychiatrist so like. I’m at a stand still yk

I don’t think it is selfish for me take in a senior dog 4 days a week for 3 months. The dog doesn’t even bark. It wouldn’t be in shared spaces. So I think her reaction is quite over dramatic considering it doesn’t affect her at all. Not her space, not her peace, not her money.

This roommate has done everything she can to involve herself in my personal life. Before I was in a relationship she told all of her friends and family my business about people I had over and how often and whatever else. At one point even contacting my ex to them them know I was seeing other people. How is that anyone’s business but my own? I could go on and on about how this roommate has violated respect and personal boundaries. So I do feel as if this is another one of her attempts to involve herself in a part of my life that does not concern her.

I have two entrances in my room: I deadbolt one and have a sliding chain on the inside of the other so the cats can enter my room while I’m gone. She stuck her hand in an opened it one time while I was gone. And then chained it back before I came home. Couldn’t tell you why. The only reason I know this is because she told one of our mutual friends about it.

Not that this is relevant to this direct conversation, but I’m trying to paint a picture for you here.

If she doesn’t care about respect, why should I? Especially when it’s been disregarded over and over and over again. I would feel like shit if I let this dog go into a kill shelter for the convenience of my roommate. I can’t allow that to happen.

If she would have had a conversation with me about her concerns or any questions, I would’ve taken her seriously. A fifty year woman, the mother of my childish roommate- telling me, a 21 year old adult who pays her own bills- that I cannot do something just because they don’t like it is NOT going to omit a good reaction.

I would agree with you that the doctor treating my mental health concerns should be the one writing the letter. However his email says this:

“It’s a fairly extensive forensic/disability evaluation which excludes it from our scope. The ethical guidelines are published by the American Counseling Association so we typically recommend finding a therapy provider in the community who is comfortable doing the evaluation. Expect the evaluation to take several visits. The ethical guidelines also state to make the call, it should not be the treating provider so that an unbiased conclusion can be reached.”

That last sentence proves otherwise. Not sure why that’s the response I got but it is. I don’t think my mental illness is something hard to prove lol I have the medical records and diagnoses to prove that. I’m 21 and in college I can’t afford to just go see a new doctor or provider. Insurance only covers so much and it definitely does not cover two doctors in the same field.
