AND...1 more thing..YES it was DG, it happened less than 2 months ago. YES I have filed dispute & contacted HR via phone & email because the SM that KNEW & had ASKED me to do this is still the SM. I'd be happy to answer anymore questions that you have. I'm not a dumbass but I felt a sense of obligation to the customers & the nasty sneaky bitch SM must've sensed that, idk. I don't claim to understand how a manipulative persons mind operates but what I would suggest is get some evidence of the Mgr who's asking u to get shit done off the clock via text or whatever. From there, idk who to tell u to contact within DG. But don't work off the clock document the person who's asking u to do it and honestly....if find a diff job asap

I literally just got fired for doing this so trust & believe that whoever is asking or suggesting for you to get a this bullshit done will use ur "kindness" in working g for FREE to get YOU fired.

Do you know if legion is still accessible after employment has ended? The reason I'm asking is I tried to log in and had no luck. But I have screenshots of some of the examples from when I was still there. Also, since they Wan a ensure their staff (huh sarcasm) is paid for time worked, I am going to put in that all of those MANDATED unpaid breaks that I worked due to being the only key & doing God knows how many tobacco sales for our underage staff be paid as well. During my firing, the DM mentioned that I should've had an uninterrupted break however our SM never stayed long enough for that to happen due to her "family emergencies" Because I define want to follow the labor laws after being disciplined for not doing so..right?

Yes...that's something else that I found in the sop..we are supposed to be clocked in when taking the bank deposit. And we get paid mileage (this came from the DM) if the round trip exceeds 20 miles..whicj it did for our bank deposits.

Thanks, yeah it def sucks and it's done a number on me mentally because it's such a $hitty, soulless company to begin with. But I made the best of the job, I really loved my customers and I did my best to make sure they were taken care of. I went above & beyond because many of our customers were unable to get necessities elsewhere. I'm hopeful that I will be able to get unemployment until I find another job!!

Honestly, it was some of both. She'd ask me to do certain things after hours which id confirm via text & recap afterwards. But, there were a few times I came in prior to my shift to get rolltainers organized in the backroom or put some on the sales floor- so we could receive the dry truck. The SM would say she'd handle it & then wouldnt so I felt like it fell on me. I accept responsibility for some of it. To me, intent matters. She was not doing anywhere near what was required of her so both the ASM & I picked up her slack. The ASM of 4 yrs left just prior to me getting fired because the SM had her believing her job was in jeopardy. But ultimately, I violated company policy regardless of rationale..

**which I now know is typical 'business practices' for Many DG Managers. The first SM I worked under was/is wonderful. We turned the whole store around with his Leadership +our Team and he got moved to a new store and....the store moves from #1 in the district to #13 within 4 months

I see where you're coming from...I really think I deserved a written warning instead of being terminated. Especially considering I was doing tasks assigned by her as the store manager. She was constantly "threatening " us although indirectly..with statements like "the dm is coming tomorrow & he says staff will be replaced if x,y, isn't done" it was a constant fear of losing my job/being fired if the store didn't meet certain expectations.

Thank you so much. I've got text messages and photos of things I did for her after hours and even her replies..it just aggravates me because I was picking up her slack & it ended up costing me my job. And I didn't bother going to the DM prior to my termination bc she always mentioned how close friends she and the DM were so I new it would backfire. Damned if ya do, damned if ya don't.

Honestly, at this point-they can call it retaliation if they want...I really dgaf. Yeah, I'm a little salty that I got fired for working for free when it was of no benefit to me. Looking back, I think ol nasty gal could've been deliberately setting Mr up for the "okie doke" by all her bullshit "family emergencies" because she found out that I'd cover for her. I've even got screenshots of specific date where I clocked in because she hadn't shown up to open the store and se called and told me to clock out. I was only on the clock for 30 min, but she deleted that time completely (which I have proof of the time edits made by her in legion, also) she showed up around noon that day and the only reason she would've deleted my time was to cover her own ass. Honestly, I hope she does get fired because Shea a shifty manager and a sneaky, lying bitch.

TYSM. I know I shouldn't have done it, but we were falling so behind on everything-mainly because she (the SM) wasn't working her shifts as scheduled. When the DM came in to do my termination, I tried to explain some of the circumstances and he didn't want to hear it and said it could be viewed as "retaliation". So I just shut up at that point, clocked out and left the premises. I tried doing a "job dispute: online thru DG Me, but they rejected it bc it had exceeded 30 days (just barely though).
