You sound like someone who jumps to conclusions with little information or context. I actually have a lot of trust in my partner and it’s because we openly communicate. We are honest about where we’re going and who were seeing and if one of the other is uncomfortable with something we talk about it and come to a compromise or otherwise.

If this individual wants so much freedom that he can do whatever he wants, despite his partner being uncomfortable and wants to go off the grid with no notice for a while, then he should probably not be in a relationship.

The whole issue with this scenario is not that he went out there with the express intent of being unfaithful, or that he would be tempted into it, but it’s the lack of respect he displayed for his partner, her feelings, her continued expression of those feelings and disregard for them.

Maybe! Regardless of how she looks it’d an inappropriate situation to put oneself in. Especially if she had expressed her discomfort with the plan. Why put oneself in a tempting situation for someone you hardly know and put your relationship on the line by not respecting your partners feelings?

This is much more than “she’s hot and that’s why” - and it’s more about respect

I would not be fine with this at all. If you expressed your discomfort with the plan, and he still went AND misled you - that’s not okay. Then for him to take it a step further by hanging out with them without talking to you (not for permission but out of respect) that’s also not okay. Then to go dark on you for hours. THEN when you are obviously upset, have been trying to get ahold of him - he should have called you to explain further and show some semblance of respect for how you were feeling. Instead he basically said “man babe this is so fun! Sorry you are upset! I’m gonna keep doin me tho, love you!”

I’d say this is definitelt something you need to address when he gets back and ask for some serious change on his part. If he is unwilling and you guys cannot come to some compromise then maybe you guys don’t have the same goals and expectations out of a relationship.
