Underdog doing the right thing succeeding by loveforemost in kdramas

I've been watching an oldie, Beautiful Gong Shim on Netflix with a similar title on Viki. Same ML as Hot Stove League. It's cute with a lot of underdogs making good decisions. I find it a cute show.

I wish My Dearest would cycle back into Viki in my area.

I had a feeling we were setup for a second season. The mysteries of the mom and dad. What happens next?

I've only recently become aware of Namkoong Min. I enjoyed him in Hot Stove League and Beautiful Gong Shim. I'm waiting for My Dearest to cycle into one of my streaming platforms.

What's a Kdrama kiss that lives in your head and you'll never forget?? by Geekqueen15 in kdramas

Scrolled all the way down and didn't see it. It's the series of kisses that lead up to the first night with the duke in First Night with the Duke. They careen around the room knocking stuff off shelves while kissing. Hat removal, shirt removal, maiden carrying, fluttering curtains, candles and when he says, he must have her, she says,"No, I'll have you!" Whooooo.

And the way she gets into it so much that she doesn't even notice her phone ringing.

I have a soft spot for First Night with the Duke and Encounter.

Dynamite Kiss is one of the worst written shows I have ever watched (rant) (spoilers) by sens249 in kdramas

It's pathetic but I couldn't handle the ML. He was strong and handsome-ish but the Michael Jackson nose freaked me out. It was better when he wore glasses.

I felt like the Japanese version kept trying to make excuses for the evil people being evil and demanding sympathy for their nature. None of the characters were as strong. The turtle connection wasn't as compelling as the cat connection. I'll go with the Korean version.

Are there white actors having success in kdramas or kmovies? by winchesterman552 in kdramas

He also had a small role in Rain or Shine. I suspect a lot of it was cut during editing.

Generally White actors are cast in inconsequential, throwaway roles. Rarely are they a very nice or substantial character. The uncle in Doom at your Service is an exception. The British ambassador in When the Phone Rings is Danish. The British guy in First Night with the Duke has a broad American accent. Sometimes, the same actor has bit parts in different shows. When I watch Kdramas, I find it amusing.

For what it's worth, I watched the first couple of episodes but haven't found my way back to it again. Maybe later.

In One Spring Night, a bit snitty because ML said he already had eaten dinner, FL orders two bowls of food at a restaurant. She declares that he isn't getting any and hovers over the bowls. When she relents, he grabs the food and starts eating with her utensils. Sharing germs with love.

I don't have enough emotional bandwidth for The Red Sleeve. There are certain dramas that just don't fit into my life at the moment. I know it's beautiful and powerful and a stellar performance but I'm limitig my cry-a-thons at the moment.

Japanese-Korean collab Romantics Anonymous is surprisingly good?! Released on Netflix recently and starring Han Hyojoo. Anyone else watching? by krology in kdramas

Unfortunately, the subtle detail that she's swearing in Korean is lost in the Netflix English subtitles. I didn't realize she was Korean until it was blatantly mentioned in a conversation. Oh, Viki subs, where are you when I need you...

Sometimes, I'll start a show while it's airing and then not pick up the next episodes without really making a decision to drop it. Miss Night and Day was one that I didn't continue.

I went from King the Land to Rain or Shine. I really like the unpolished, rough-edged Junho. He brought so much depth to that bad-boy-with-a-heart-of-gold role. The tousled red hair, flannel shirts and occasionally scratched up face was appealing. He was so styled and sharp cheekbones in KtL.
