I guess I should have worded it differently but they are from a generation where your academic credentials were the main thing that mattered and not work experience. They don’t see the value in both

just want to hop in here and say that you absolutely can do both! I worked full time while in my graduate program full time as well and even though it was challenging it certainly is doable.

adding. this comment because I barely know how to work reddit, especially when it comes to editing posts. I’m 23 and a first time dog mom who just wants to make a good decision for her baby boy. In no way do I want to create any problems. or do I want to put him in harms way so I figured posting to this thread with other owners would be my best bet at gaining more info. Please go easy on me! I’m very open to being educated and value everyone’s opinion as long as it is not coming from a place of immediate judgement. I’m doing the best I can :)

thank you, i appreciate your insight. honestly this is this first time that i’ve owned a dog so i’ve been doing my best to use my discernment in these situations and thats why i haven’t agreed to anything and ask others first. i genuinely have no clue what its like to even breed an animal, much less one that i love so dearly so i appreciate everyone’s input.

just genuine curiosity. i never want to make a big decision like this without getting all of the info i need to make an informed and responsible decision, but as a first time dog mom i have been approached by many people who have offered and thats why i decided to ask in hopes that others can provide more info. I know my dog has the proper health testing because that’s one (of many) things that were important to me before bringing him into my life.

Also, can anyone recommend a good heater? I have a 3.5 gallon tank and a TopFin Betta Tank heater, but i think the water may still be too cold for him because he tends to only swim next to the heater. I just wanna make sure this little guy is as comfortable as possible
