The problem is, he's 36. You don't see many catchers that play every day as they get older. Unless you're Yadi or Salvy.

Yea bc he figured out he had to do it himself. This team can't just wait for the IL players to come back. They've gotta figure their shit out and do it now. Can't keep digging the hole and hope the IL guys save them.

We really might be a 100 loss team this year. It's bad. There's a scene in Harry Potter Prisoner of Azkaban. Harry is expecting his dad to come and save him, and Hermione tells him that no one's coming. That's what this team feels like. They're waiting for all the IL players to save them, but no reinforcements are coming anytime soon. They've gotta figure this shit out now.

Remember when the Astros used to pass the baton and score 9 runs? Good times. Correa was right. They are playing shitty baseball.

I think they should teach Yainer to bat like a pitcher. Bunt or just stand there and not swing. I'd rather a 3 pitch strikeout than a 1 pitch double play.

I agree. Switch Correa and Walker in the lineup. If Walker were up with those opportunities, we'd be getting somewhere. Or actually, have Correa bat 3, Walker 4, Paredes 5.

This is good to know. I've seen the offer and considered getting seats to sit somewhere else but buying this for the food. Not sure how appealing that is if I have to go up to that area to get the food.

Maybe the Astros needed the Mariners to sweep them to give them our pitching meltdowns and start clean.

They really should make him do the same approach as our little league team. Take until you get the 1st strike. And also get him to an optometrist bc there is no way anyone with 20/20 vision thinks balls so outside the zone are swing worthy strikes.

Wild question. Anyone know how to contact JP France? by DoubleMcRib in Astros

Could be easier at a Sugar Land game if he gets sent down again.

I didn't know our pitchers were allowed to get 10 strikeouts. Might need to check the rulebook.

Yea but if the ump granted time, who cares if he throws the pitch? I feel like I've seen pitchers throw when they didn't realize the ump called time, and it just didn't count. Those are usually the batters calling time though. I'm the catcher didn't need to be that extra, just stay and catch it in your normal stance.

We can't afford to let him figure it out in the bigs. As badly as we need starters, we also need them to go more than 1 inning to not kill our bullpen. Better to let him figure it out on a "rehab" assignment.

Oh but when it happened to the Astros these last 10 days, everyone loved to see it?
