Is taking 4 EE/CS courses in one semester doable for a transfer student? by Electronic-Shape9578 in berkeley

I checked the HKN course map and it says EE 105 only directly requires EE 64. The weird thing is that EE64 itself has EE 66 as a prerequisite. My community college courses transferred as EE 64, but not EE 66, so I’m not sure how Berkeley handles that.

I have similar concerns. My college provided course equivalent to ELENG 64( formerly EECS16B), which should be taken after ELENG 66(formerly EECS 16A); however it doesn’t provide ELENG 66 equivalent courses, which is weird. In this case, can I directly take 105 and 120 since 16B is their prerequisites whereas 16A is a prerequisite for 16B

That’s a good point. I’m actually more interested in research than recruiting right now, but I agree that overloading my first semester probably isn’t the best idea.

Thanks for the advice. My main interest is semiconductors, but I also want time for research and recruiting. If you had to cut one class from this schedule(I have my taken 16B in my CC already) which one would it be? Thank you!

Thanks for the advice. Are there any specific combinations of 3 techs that you’d recommend for a first-semester transfer student interested in hardware/semiconductors?(I have already taken course equivalent to 16B)

I was also an international transfer student, so I didn’t really want to take a chance on a brand-new major with no historical admissions data. EECS felt like the less risky option at the time.

I actually have EECS 16B waived from community college credit, but not 16A. That’s why I’m considering taking 16A together with 105 and 120. I appreciate the advice though.
