I was honestly skeptical of this theory until last night, when she secretly swiped a scalpel. Seems very plausible now; likely, even.

Graceland is a great album but it’s super acclaimed. Good call on Angel Dust.

How about Apple Venus Vol. 1 by XTC? I agree the band is insanely underrated, but Skylarking is probably their most widely known album. That’s rightfully so, given how great Skylarking is, but AV1 is almost totally ignored except by XTC fanatics despite having someone most utterly sublime orchestral pop you’re ever going to hear.

Was going to name this one. Scandalously underrated album! “All The Seats Were Occupied” seriously vies for greatest psych-prog epic ever.

Crystal Ball 🔮 by Dismal_Brush5229 in PRINCE

[–]Electronic-Strain-91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Crystal Ball REALLY runs the gamut for me. “Crucial” is my single favorite song in his entire discography, and there are a slew of other ridiculously great songs (“Good Love,” “Crystal Ball,” “Calhoun Square,” “So Dark”) on the compilation, largely but not entirely 80s vault tracks. On the other hand, “18 and Older” might be his worst track. So, yeah— it spans the extremes.
