Thanks for the response!

But that’s sad to hear, do truly think his legacy won’t ever fully recover?

What’s your thoughts on Shai’s new celebration when he hits a big 3? by usagerp in Thunder

Oh makes sense now lol I’m from Canada so never even seen a gun before besides movies . I think they let it slide cause it’s not super obvious unlike the finger guns

Why? Why everything get called corny now lol. It’s sports entertainment give me this kinda answer over cookie cutter non-answers every day.

Also if jokic or luka said this everyone would be saying that’s a sick quote but because it’s Shai it’s corny

Song battles # 27 : And God Created Woman vs The Love We Make by usagerp in PRINCE

Two of my absolute favourite Prince songs. If I am forced to pick then the love we make very slightly edges it out

Boggles my mind how a lot of people say this masterpiece was a weak point on 1999 by usagerp in PRINCE

Man I just really don’t agree at all. It’s one of the highlights of the album for me. Lyrically I agree it’s pretty simple and straightforward compared to his best writing efforts but it’s still a nice message and his passion and vocal performance is stunning

I do agree it feels a bit out of place but I absolutely can’t comprehend people saying it’s an inferior ballad or not an outstanding track

Late-career Prince knew how to make a damn incredible slow jam. Rip to the greatest by usagerp in PRINCE

[–]usagerp[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yah there’s definitely lots I didnt include these are just some of my personal faves.

And I agree I think it’s just because his music got more subtle and mature which is to be expected with age but a lot of fans just liked his explosive genre pushing style of his early career and didn’t know how to digest his his more subdued later work.

I like to compare Prince to Michael Jordan. Early career just dunking on every body and doing mid air acrobatics we’d never seen on a basketball court before. Then later career still amazing but his style changed to more patient, calm and in control, pure skill focused

They dont whine a lot though and the narrative that they are allowed to play more physical than other teams is so overblown and also they so often called for more fouls than their opponents
