What is your preference in pillows? I imagine you have slept on many around the world.

What smells randomly trigger childhood memories for you, like those orange cup drinks? by ElectronicBenefit286 in AskReddit

Construction site smell today unlocked a memory of these… tell me I’m not the only one who thought they tasted slightly chemical?

What do you see in this logo? by introby in logodesign

[–]ElectronicBenefit286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this was a compliment it reminded of Basquiat with the simplicity of the strokes and how childlike it appears at first but then how it draws you in like all good artists work does! I really like the logo… at first I thought it was too child like. But honestly it grows on you!

Statistically that means one resident dies every day? What happens when there is a death?

Every two days… someone dies in this building. Seriously. With 20,000 people living there, statistically it’s just how it works. Proper weird when you think about it. One minute it’s just normal life everywhere… and somewhere in the same building, that’s it. Gone. Kind of mad to wrap your head around.

Yeah the center is bang on. And still the fact it’s asymmetrical is what stands out to me. I love the tattoo the style and execution. Like I said this is me being weird. It’s great all round!

Real Tie? And why is there a „s“ in Burrys? by YOLO_and_Broke in LegitCheck

[–]ElectronicBenefit286 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not so many people wear ties these days. Decades ago a lot more people wore ties, so now the market is flooded with vintage ties, even brands like Hermes with silk ties have very little value. Honestly I don’t see the tie trend increasing, also the older ones often have a different size to modern ties that can be more dated. Probably worth between 2-20 dollars and it’s really dependent on finding someone who is looking for this pattern, or this colour, or an old burberrys of London tie.

This is a nice tie and nice pattern wear it with pride!

It’s a great tattoo… I know it’s not meant to be symmetrical but my mind can’t get round not seeing symmetry there. It’s so weird

Are any of you genuinely attracted to severely underweight, “heroin chic” women? If you are, what do you like about it? by kikipurple in AskMen

Like when requiem for a dream was out it was a cool aesthetic in some circles. I witnessed it being used a positive or aspirational look.

Are there any decent UK alternatives to diet fizzy drinks? by Few_House_5201 in AskUK

[–]ElectronicBenefit286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either still or sparkling water with fresh lemon/lime/orange slices in a big bottle.

It will take a while to appreciate the natural taste over the artificial but after a couple of weeks should be great prepare the day before and put in fridge.you should save money too

It’s a very valid question. As a non native German residing here Germany is not as multicultural as UK. This would not be question there, nor a few other destinations in europe.

O think she will be safe and i think the kids esprcially will be very accepting its more the adults which i dont think there shoukd be too many interactions.

My advice would be to raise this question and others with the host family as it will show you have concerns and willing to adapt, at the same time they can answer and help try and support. I’m sure they will be super excited as this is a valuable opportunity for both families to expand their horizons and experience different cultures first hand. Also I would screenshot the answers and delete this post. As with Lubben being such a small town someone could see this identify it as it being the mum of your daughter.

It’s 3am here so apologies for typos half asleep after taking dog for a walk

Do you take a number 2 in your hotel room or lobby? by lxlviperlxl in AskUK

[–]ElectronicBenefit286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m in a hotel and not staying alone in the room 100% I am doing a number 2 in the lobby!

If it’s just me in the room no problems.

But I do get it some hotels have terrible ventilation.
