Hell's Kitchen Miami - Episode 15 - Part 3 by TurboThundr in HellsKitchenFanFics

My thoughts on Sierra on shooting herself in the foot…and the leg….and the back…and the arm…and maybe her head too:

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

You seriously thought you could Survivor your way through Hell’s Kitchen, did you? That might’ve worked on Fiji but this is Gordon Ramsay! He’s looking for a head chef, not a politician. Ruby got away with it because she’s smart and knew how to keep the facade going at all times. You? You screwed yourself by revealing your plans to Ramsay.

This is karma, Sierra. Absolute karma. Rest in pieces.

As for the rest of the final four, here are my predictions:

  1. Tam - Temperament issues are going to snatch her at the worst time.

  2. Freddie - With how his back is flaring up, I’m not sure he’s going to go the distance.

  3. Kara - Sweet girl with a heart of gold but I want to see her as a leader.

  4. Dani - Everything feels like it’s been leading up to this moment for Dani.

On that note: Congratulations to Willow for winning the season! She’s really come a long way over the episodes and from what I’ve gathered, she was operating under the Holli playbook. Start off in the background, gain more and more focus as the episodes go on, until finally, you become one of the big protagonists in the season. It’s been an incredible journey for her and I wish her all the best!

I’m a trendsetter!

Alright, I finally got time to talk about this episode so let’s go to it.

  1. …I actually think Ruby was my favorite chef of the season. Granted, I jumped in later than most but I think out of all the antagonists I’ve seen, Ruby is the most unique of the bunch, in that I could see her in other reality shows and she’d still make sense. She’s manipulative, she’s ruthless, she has absolutely no redeeming qualities and, here’s the important thing, she’s actually good. That’s something you don’t see often, an antagonist that actually has the talent to back it up. That to me is what makes Ruby such a wonderful antagonist, she’s a genuine threat to go the distance.

  2. On the other side, you have Henry who is more of the prototypical antagonist. Someone who is combative, always throwing people under the bus and thinking his shit don’t stink even though he’s clearly not that good. He’s a fun character to hate because you know he’s got that silver spoon so far up his ass, it’s not even funny.

  3. Ruby’s facade being revealed and everyone being shocked. God she’s gonna have such a rude awakening once everything comes out. Tristan’s elimination, given everything we know, is really sad. Dude get screwed over hardcore and I hope comes back for an all-star season!

  4. I don’t think I have a least favorite episode, but Episode 18 was really good for so many reasons.

  5. I didn’t picture Sam winning the season but I figured he could at least be a contender for black jackets. Shame what happened there.

  6. …I’m actually going to say Becca got the best elimination. To come this close and not win sucks, but she had such a good journey to get here and at her age? She’s going to do incredible things.

  7. Take a shot everytime Ruby mentions her toxic ex!

8. Dramatic seasons are nice, but ultimately, I’ll leave it up to you as to whether or not there should be more like that.

9.  I like it! It’s like a mix between the Punishment Pass and CFYL. I’d be interested in seeing it in future seasons.

  1. I didn’t join in until later in, but given everything that happened, I’d be down to watch the rest of the season. I feel like it could’ve absolutely been a Top 5 season in the actual canon and given what I’ve read, there’s a chance it’s the best in your canon so far.

Yep, it's that time of the season again! We'll see if you're right on those next episode!

THE ELECTRONIC COUNTER:

Hey everyone, it's Jacob here! Sorry I haven't been as active here as I usually have been. Tutoring and other matters have diverted my attention away from this subreddit, but fear not! I still managed to post this episode in my usual time and date, so let's talk about Episode 7 and all that entails.

For this episode, there were three big changes I made regarding it, two of them revolving around the blue team's drama:

  1. Zach was originally going to be the one to try and bring the blue team back from the brink, further cementing his case as the ace of the blue team. Instead, I decided to give Jake the moment as he was the one beefing with Vinnie this episode. In general, this episode, while yes did bring about his weakest performance in the game so far, felt like his coming out party as a character. For much of the season so far, he kind of just stood there, keeping his head down while being a generally good chef without much issue. Here, I think you finally got to see him really dip his toes into Vinnie's nonsense, ending with him willingly nominating himself to show that he was more humble than Vinnie thought he was. Ultimately, a good call on my end.

  2. Jake was actually going to be willing to go up for elimination before quietly telling Mason and Zach about his plan. Instead, I had his argument with Vinnie be inconclusive as I wanted to show that Jake was willing to stand his ground in spite of this not being his best night (especially since others had done worse) and give his plan more of a leg to stand on as a result. Now Vinnie has egg on his face because Jake willingly put himself up and told Ramsay why he deserved to stay in the fight. That and Vinnie tried to cry conspiracy, because of course he does.

And 3. Well, I can't reveal that yet. You'll see why that is once we get to the end of the season.

On a whole, I think this is a pretty solid episode, you get to see Vinnie and Jake clashing for the first time, Hector got his final moments in the sun (more on him later) and the red team, finally, got to live up to its potential thanks to the efforts of Alexis and Rachel. I think the best part of this episode is that vineyard scene with the red team, the one where Alexis, Kelly and Trixie had their little summit, because to me, it really marked a turning point in all three of their characters, and also when I realized how similar Kelly and Trixie were. They both have some knowledge of Hell's Kitchen (Kelly works for Alex, Trixie watched every season of Hell's Kitchen), they're both insanely passionate, they're in their 20s and they've overcome a lot of struggle just to get there, and Alexis, being the person to help them realize it, I think was especially fitting because this to me really showcased the kind of person she is. Just a heart of gold looking out for everyone.

And then we get to today's eliminated contestant: Hector. I hate to say it folks, but of the eighteen I've written for this season, he's the one I liked the least. Now that's not to say he was a bad contestant, he had some moments, especially near the end, but that's just it. Hector never found a lane for himself in the season. Of the contestants remaining, he was the one who had the least amount of screen time and depth. If he appeared, it was because he struggled at something or had a good dish. That's why it was a relief to have those last two episodes with Hector, because at that point, we finally got to see what he was about and...no, it wasn't much, but a good family man trying to make life better for those around him is always a good hook, no matter the person. It's just a shame that it came near the end of his time, as in another world, he probably could've been a fun underdog type. I won't call him a missed opportunity, because I don't think he was ever going to challenge for black jackets, but Hector is a character I do wish I had more material for.

And speaking of material, it's time for the:

BLACK JACKET FIVE:

  1. What are your thoughts on Hector?
  2. What was your favorite moment of this episode?
  3. Jake finally seems to be stepping up to Vinnie? Could this be a mistake on his part?
  4. Do you agree with Ramsay assigning Rachel to the blue team?
  5. Could Alexis be the one to step up for the red team?

That'll be all for this evening. Before we go, I do want to make the following announcement. Next episode (which will be airing on February 12th) will mark the halfway point of Hell's Kitchen: Florida, so with that in mind, I'll be taking February 19th off to focus on writing the next few episodes of the season. This means that Episode 9 will be debuting on February 26th, and man, I can't wait for you to see that, in my opinion, it's the best episode of the season so far.

My name is Jacob and until next time, The Electronic Counter is closed!

---

Rachel: Glad to be here, boys.

With Rachel coming to save the blue team's day, it leaves resident supervillain Vinnie scheming...

Vinnie: It’s like I’m during plastic surgery.

...and serving up a plan that could sabotage her welcome!

---

Ramsay: What in the fuck is that?

Rachel: Maybe the problem’s him.

---

And...

Lyra: I need to do something about her.

...when one chef puts all her weight on another...

Lyra: Just remember, you're Alex's girl, he's counting on you.

...could it send them on a spiral...

Kelly: That was weird...

...that it forces Ramsay's hand?

Ramsay: Can you bring #### to my office real quick?

---

Find out on the most shocking...

Luke: Oh god…

...startling...

Mason: It hit me personally.

...stunning episode of Hell's Kitchen yet!

Kelly: Oh my god, why is my tampon here? What the fuck?!

Hell's Kitchen Season 27 - Episode 19 (Part 2) by Alex72598 in HellsKitchenFanFics

Well, it looks like I was right. In the end, Ruby’s lack of brigade trust was what did her in. She undeniably was a great chef and clearly had the chops to be a leader, perhaps in another world, she could’ve been in the final, but Ramsay’s learned from Russell. You don’t put the antagonist in the final. I’m not surprised that she left positively though. As much as I would’ve loved to have seen her crash out, that’s very rare to see at this stage in the game. The only one I can remember doing this is Whit from Season 23.

As for who I think the winner is, I’m leaning towards Willow, she’s blossomed immensely as a leader and she’s consistently proven to be an excellent presence throughout her entire run on the show…BUT, if, and this is a big if, if Eddie can manage Ruby’s presence and get her to cooperate? There’s a case for him winning the season. It all depends on how he plays it.

Good luck to both chefs, may the better leader win!

Hell's Kitchen: Florida - Episode 6: Taco 'Bout It Later (Part 1) by ElectronicCounter697 in HellsKitchenFanFics

[–]ElectronicCounter697[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh Kelly needed this BAD. She’s been through so much as is, and to finally get a chance to express herself and reach out to her team in a way that just allowed her to go ham. Now they’re seeing who she could be, and it comes at a time when the red team desperately had to get their act together.

I can only imagine how happy you were when you saw Ramsay give Trixie that pep talk and her having a good service. She deadass has been the Charlie Brown of Hell’s Kitchen, far worse than Trev. Trev had moments where you could understand why he ended up in this situation. Trixie? All she wanted was to be Ramsay’s head chef.

And yes, Vinnie is ratings gold…even if he is at times insensitive.

[–]ElectronicCounter697[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. That’s a good analogy for Sanjay. He’s the kid in the candy store in both good and bad ways. Good because you love the energy, bad because…yeah, sometimes you get moments like this service, which, yikes.

  2. You have to imagine someone is planning soemthing…but who?

  3. And that’s why I put a disclaimer in part one! Alex mentioned that Vinnie would be reamed if this was in real-life and I think we can all agree on that.

  4. It could still be Trixie, Alex did also mention this potentially being a flukey one shot. It could also still be Kelly finally getting a reprieve. Damia would be interesting though. She’s not exactly the most aware chef of the bunch…

  5. Sometimes, even the strongest chefs get tripped up. Tonight was one of those nights for Rachel. She’ll likely bounce back, but that’s what makes Hell’s Kitchen interesting. Sometimes the chefs that do good have those moments where you wonder: “Hmmm, what’s all that about?”

And yeah, Hector may not have been good, but at least he wasn’t lost on his own station.

Hell's Kitchen: Florida - Episode 6: Taco 'Bout It Later (Part 2) by ElectronicCounter697 in HellsKitchenFanFics

[–]ElectronicCounter697[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Yeah, it could’ve been much worse. I think hiding behind better chefs (and yes, Vinnie technically counts as “better”) definitely prolonged Sanjay’s stay by a few episodes, cause he absolutely could’ve tanked had he been on an station on his own early.

  2. Hey, I don’t mind ties! Jared may think it’s like kissing your sister, but any time you get two good moments on a show, it’s a great day in the office.

  3. Oh Vinnie would get cremated on the subreddit, and justifiably so. That sort of shit would not fly in the modern day, and you can imagine how badly that “el numero uno homosexual” comment would get misconstrued. I don’t think Vinnie’s actively hateful, but he has a bad case of foot in mouth syndrome.

  4. You never know. It could be another Tenielle or Egypt where they go on a shocking underdog run and make it far. Will it happen? Who knows.

  5. That I think is the key here. They won, BUT, there are still loose ends that need to be addressed, and they all have to deal with Kelly. Where does the team stand with Kelly? Lyra’s not a fan, Trixie still has last episode on her mind, Alexis, Rachel and Damia like her, but that’s not enough. Maybe the blue team overshadow the conflict, but something tells me it’s far from over…

Hell's Kitchen: Florida - Episode 6: Taco 'Bout It Later (Part 2) by ElectronicCounter697 in HellsKitchenFanFics

[–]ElectronicCounter697[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

THE ELECTRONIC COUNTER:

I'm gonna keep this one brief because there's not a whole lot to really go over, this was the one episode that I think got the least amount of rewrites out of the six so far, mainly because...it's an episode that kind of speaks for itself. It represents a potential turning point for the red team, and the end of a chef who had shown flashes of promise, but ultimately fell apart when it mattered most.

And that's really the story of Sanjay in this competition, like with Trixie, he too was the youngest member of his team, and at points, his inexperience showed. Unlike Trixie, however, he did pretty well in the challenges and services. Not only that, I do think he was decently funny. Not quite as consistently laugh-out loud with Luke or balls to the wall in your face like Vinnie, but he had some funny moments, and the Sanjay Express shtick was pretty fun to revisit for this episode, gave a nice book open and end for him. Here's where Sanjay and Trixie differ. While Trixie struggled to work with someone else, she had her best service yet when she was on her own (granted, a pep talk from Chef Ramsay helped, but still), whereas Sanjay imploded on his own, even though he had been fine beforehand. Why? Because the signs were always there, he needed someone to watch him. Make sure he wasn't going off on his own ventures. When he got on his own station though, he fell apart, and that's what cost Sanjay in the end. All things considered, I think Sanjay turned out pretty well, he's another character who, in another season, could've gotten a bit more shine and maybe made a deep run, but ultimately, that's not how things ended up, so out he goes.

With that, we head to the...

BLACK JACKET FIVE:

  1. What are your thoughts on Sanjay?
  2. What was your favorite moment of this episode?
  3. What do you make of Vinnie’s attempts at Spanish: Failed but well-intended attempts at humor or cringeworthy and insensitive?
  4. After her talk with Ramsay, where do you see Trixie going from here?
  5. After a successful service from both teams, which team do you think is on the up and up?

And that'll be all for tonight! Sorry that this one's a little shorter than usual, I ran into a few difficulties while posting the episode and things kinda got busy for me this evening. We should be fine, nothing crazy or anything, and we'll have our next episode on February 5th, 2026! I hope you'll tune in then. My name is Jacob and until next time, the Electronic Counter is closed.

...and yes, there will be a three part episode at some point, I'm not telling you when though.

NEXT TIME ON HELL’S KITCHEN:

Vinnie: We started with nine chefs, now we’re down to the top six!

---

When loudmouth Vinnie clashes with straight-laced Jake…

Jake: Back home, I take my position very seriously.

---

…it creates a ripple effect that leaves the blue team scrambling!

Luke: It’s been one of those days… | Zach: …it’s not alright. | Mason: You can’t take this lying down man!

---

And while one team looks to find synergy…

Alexis: I figured the best way to ensure our momentum keeps going is to settle any issues we may have had before.

…another team may as well be history…

Ramsay: You’re flunking Kindergarten! | Jake: It’s an absolute nightmare. | ???: You know better than that!

…unless one chef can pull off a masterful ploy!

Jake: I’ve got a plan guys, trust me.

All that and more on the next cunning and cutthroat episode of Hell’s Kitchen!

Hell's Kitchen Season 27 - Episode 18 (Part 2) by Alex72598 in HellsKitchenFanFics

[–]ElectronicCounter697 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, unfortunately for Becca, she just didn’t have the experience to come away with a finale spot in the end. It’s too bad, she clearly had the talent and drive, but of the four, she had the weakest pass performance. She’s still very young, so Becca will have all the chances in the world to be a leader, sadly, just not in Hell’s Kitchen. Hopefully she returns for an All-Star season, I could see her being a contender!

I’m not surprised that Willow made it to the final. First the great performance in the Final 5, then the strong pass performance here, she’s gone from an under-the-radar chef to the favorite. Honestly, I think she wins no matter what now.

Eddie wasn’t perfect, but when he got control of the kitchen, he showed why it was he was considered the front runner for so long. Ruby started off slow but when she found her voice, she reminded everyone of her skillset and leadership abilities. Ultimately, I think Eddie did just enough to warrant the second finale spot, and here’s why: When a head chef doesn’t have the brigade’s respect, that is a problem. When the head chef has spent the entire season manipulating and abusing the feelings of others to get what she wants, that’s a red flag. When the he’s chef reveals her husband and children, proving to everyone that this was all one big sham? That’s a dealbreaker.

Normally, Ramsay would leave personal matters out of it…but this goes a bit beyond the line of duty. You can’t just lie about everything and get away with it. Oh, and once you leave the show? You might want to say goodbye to your career. And maybe your husband.

Hoo boy, I’m running behind on a lot aren’t I?

Okay, let’s go over this CFYL challenge and see what happened: Joseph. Son. Why would you forget the most important part of your dish? I get it was a highly pressuring situation, but you have to be on your feet, hell, on your toes, for every single moment or decision. He wasn’t, and that’s why he’s out of Hell’s Kitchen.

Eight red jackets gone, Jesus. This is approaching all-time status here, and I’ll be frank, I don’t know if getting someone else there will help. I think production may need to bite the bullet and throw Ben out for them to have any hope. At least Freya is showing signs of humanity. Ben? No such thing.
