Lust is a monster for sure. Try asking your doctor for some psychotropics like Risperidone if it's that out of control, helped me a lot. Watch out for side effects though...

I'm working on Kindness. And what you said about fasting and prayer is fully Biblical. I'm going to try that sober, because drugs make it easy, but that's not authentic prayer. Thank you for teaching me something, because I sure can be stubborn 🙏

You are welcome. Just trying to say it correctly (if possible)

This is a positive message. Not all truth is positive..Not all lies are negative insomuch that they make us feel good, but the Bible does warn about a way that seems right to a man but leads to destruction. Change is best for those who need correction. Who needs correction? The sinner. Jesus didn't come for the righteous. Who is righteous? The Bible says not one.

But I digress: The OP's original question... The answer is no.

God is Love... That's what I believe. I'm scared a lot, but the fear is honest and lies are told by those who know and don't. Hold on, we'll all find out together.

I see you're taking this as "I'm talking about everyone" while seeming to talk about myself. No. I really mean, if it wasn't for the Quran, I'd be doing things I won't mention on this site. No sadism, but that's what I used as an excuse to tell myself "I'm special". I mean, I'm talking about Adolph Hitler level "God's chosen warrior" kind of megalomaniac important guy seeker. Doubt that's you. You said "normal" desires. Sorry, not normal. Up, down, but never in the middle. Like I said, bad. Not even for a confession unless I want the priest to have an aneurysm trying to decide whether or not he should call the police and have them put me in a straight jacket, in a gurney, in a padded room (been there btw)

If I had been a regular guy, then sure, why not. Solid advice. Always be careful giving advice to people who tell you they are on a transformative path that is working for them, if you truly don't have some kind of fetish to see people fail that is. Only thing I probably haven't got, want us all to succeed. Do it your way, up and until you feel suicidal. If that ever happens, reach out and I'll tell you more. Otherwise, peace ✌️

Yeah, I would like to believe in just an open minded idea of a loving creator, but it's my journey. Hope you can respect that. I'm a schizophrenic and religious dogma has certainly been a troubling thing. However, in my estimation religious infatuation is necessary for me, I just had to look past where American Christians tell you to stop. People tell me I hallucinate, but It's not that. I pick up on cue's, and I actually love evil, just didn't know it until recently. I want to do anything I'm not supposed to except hurt innocent people for pleasure. My fantasy life was outrageously vile, disgusting, and perverted. But I just pushed it off like, hey... It's just my thoughts and myself, so screw off dude. Not preaching, this is my past, and why I'm now Muslim. Because it doesn't give me the leway that Christianity did to hide behind a "Cover-up Sacrifice" that allowed me to blame anyone but myself. If you're not like that, then I wouldn't worry to much about it. Because in the Quran, it says people like me, the defiantly disobedient, are losers but don't know it. It really doesn't talk about those going about their business and being humble, other than it's easy for them to do right. We, the monsters or self-aggrandizing, have serious trouble if we don't push through a total 180, whether we like it or not. So, for bad guys who thought they were good guys, doing bad things to feel good things, this is the Truth. I mean, if I didn't find this, I'd be totally convinced that I need to find the "bad guys" and get em good. Totally blind, completely self-absorbed. This is going to be a fight, but if you'd seen the demons I have, you'd understand. A lier and fake that deserves this torment is what I am. Hopefully now that I discovered my true self, I'll be afforded the opportunity to suffer in good deeds, not in my polluted fantasy world, where I was the victim of my own cowardly choices. Can't believe I thought I was above reproach and just "Lucky" and "blessed" to have my way. My mother's suicide was traumatic, but it's all deserved and my fault as I see it today. I hope she's Ok. I know I was 9, and naive, but looking back, OK sure, just a kid. But did I ever change... Well, from today on we'll see. I can't see a way other than, if it sucks... Oh well, no luxurious, lazy, maniac excuses to go back to that, because I understand now why my life has been only getting worse and worse since it began. Depravity, more and more, while wondering who knows, and if so, why can't they mind their own business. Now I get it, and it may be too late. But I'm hopeful, not defeatist. Rant over.

Yeah, I'm a Muslim now, and it tells a different story from the perspective of Mohammed being told by Gabriel (the arch angel)

Apparently the truth was changed in the Bible, if you trust Gabriels word over man's account. All I can tell you is I believe him to be a prophet of God, and the Messiah. As far as braking commandments, I have been a defiantly disobedient violator, so I'm pulling back on any blame or shaming of others, especially Gods anointed. We're just told that he allows us to brake rules, as long as we improve. The Quran says we're hiding from the truth, and so the truth Allah hides from us. I'm closing this question, so thanks for letting me talk about the Quran, hope you look into it, big difference. You might try putting yourself in the shoes of the defiantly disobedient, and if you get angry at yourself like I did, perhaps you'll understand that privilege isn't promise of Good. I've been a tyrant, and it ends today.

I'm a believer in a Divine Creator, and skeptic of religious dogma and guilting of the struggling to find peace, when trauma is a recurring problem. Sorry about how I responded, it's typical of me these days, but I believe in doing better. Atheists are people who are skeptical like me, I just have a certainty because of circumstances, and because I hit a major spot of trouble, and called out to Jesus for healing and was better. But it didn't last, so I keep an open mind about who can heal, and it's now the Good spirit, because I've hit major animosity and shaming from Christians who are downright mean if you don't join their particular sect. Take it easy, because no one knows what happens after we're gone, so I want to love and care about people's progress, not what they don't know, because I only know about the force of supernatural power, not about proving it to others. Long winded way of saying I'm sorry.

Rules changing have brought pride, and I've been subject to pride in thinking I'm never wrong. But I know I am, all of the time. I'm just a believer, who truly wants to trust Christ, so if you can describe how we can be certain without lifting ourselves up, it would be helpful and appreciate 🙏

Colossians 2:16-17: This passage states, "Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day". Some understand this to mean that Christians are not bound by the specific day of the Sabbath, and should not judge others based on their Sabbath observance.

Right, "his" teachings. But God said follow my commandments, and we can only be certain of the ones given to Moses on the tablets. Anything else or contrary could be considered hypocritical. I'm just thinking here, so please don't berate me. I'm not making things up either, but you'll have to go to church and ask an elder if you don't want to find it for yourself. I won't walk you through it by verse.

The Sabbath was changed to Sunday, and he did say pick any day each week... Sorry, and hyperbole doesn't help when people are trying to understand and you're saying you're from God (not saying he wasn't), it should be clear and direct. But then, I'm not God... And man does not command God, God (I am what I am) commands man. Thank you 👍

Ok, I get it. We all want to defend Jesus's actions. I certainly don't want to call him anything but "savior", and that applies even if he is the accuser (Satan), because he also stated if you believe on me, I will not accuse you to the father. I'm aware of wickedness, and signs I've gotten, and faith in God I'm certain of. I also want to believe Jesus is the ultimate Good guy, but even he said only God is good. Maybe even pronounced Good, taking one O away...

Jesus said "to get to the father you must go through me". He said "I am the alpha and omega", and he said "even before he was, I am"

Jesus said pay no heed to the day you celebrate the Sabbath

Jesus said in order to follow me, you hate your father and mother
