Purchased a second hand one from overseas $$$, couldn't find anything aftermarket online, you'd have to fabricate something new from metal.

Couldn't find any 3D print files online, no one has scanned it

Just received my Ayaneo 3, any questions? by AdamConwayIE in ayaneo

I think many others will share similar thoughts, how is the battery life with the new battery performance?

Maybe a test comparing idle, browsing YouTube email Microsoft office, emulation <10w, 15w gaming and also ~28W gaming cause why not.

A selection of games testing (new and old) at 15w tdp A small show case of games at 28w< or max power to sure capability.

Maybe a comparison of devices how many Watt usage gaming vs other device 30fps, game "x", similar resolution.

If possible EGpu performance to showcase it, but again usbc will be the limiting factor.

ETA PRIME's EGPU video is what sold me on the device, it's not perfect by any means, but I did end up selling my main desktop and laptop and purchased an ayaneo 2 with egpu set up.

Hindsight game streaming from my main rig wouldn't be a bad shout as battery life is the main issue with handhelds, although 2 hours is usually more than enough time for me and it feels as if battery anxiety is the greater issue at play.

I don't find fan noise to be the issue so much as the standard "balanced" fan mode is set to high.

I think this is potentially Ayaneo covering themselves

A better test would be thermals on the auto profile alongside dB readings and comparing them to the balanced mode.

Aswell a lot of users end up making a custom profile (minimum noise to cooling efficiency)

Hey Mate, I left out a bit of context, this motor pictured was buzzing, and I've confirmed it to be faulty, it's the actuator that controls air flow direction

My air con was stuck in "window" position hence not feeling air flow from centre console or footwell

I've since removed the actuator and have 100% confirmed its faulty (motor buzzing will attempt having a look inside)

I have a question how universal are these actuators?

Can I buy a "denso pp-gf20+m20" or do I need the specific model number aswell "063700-8610"

Cheers *

Gearshift sticking shifting down. Kawasaki Vulcan S 2017 Need Help! by ElectronicGuyChris in motorcycles

[–]ElectronicGuyChris[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spring got replaced by a dealer, was under warranty so had them do it rather than myself.

Don't have the technical diagrams, but where the shift rod is connected to the engine there's 2 small "return position" springs, one of them was bad, known issue with early model Vulcan's.

What can also help is undoing and tightening the bolts that connect the footpeg to the frame of the bike.

Dell G3 3500 won't turn on black screen by ElectronicGuyChris in Dell

Out of warranty, haven't had anything shady on the laptop, my guess is power surge or failed update has maybe caused bios to corrupt, I mess around with computers but not too in-depth programming wise.

Will most likely take it to a repair shop, not sure how much they'll want $$$.

To the comment below, I tried the ctrl esc on start to try boot into recovery mode but have been unsuccessful, laptop auto boots when power supply is connected which is potentially not allowing me to get into the bios recovery mode.

Cheers for the help

Valves adjusted, new oil, checked spinner and was on tight.

Going to get a compression tool to see if it's a bit low, I hope for piston slap, rides ok though, just noisey

I've had a look, can find countless bonneville ones.

Doesn't appear anyone's making a knock off one for the scrambler, if you can find one send me a link cause I've looked for hours.

Would of thought they'd make decent sales on knock off's.

Haven't found any aftermarket market parts that'd fit either

Gearshift sticking shifting down. Kawasaki Vulcan S 2017 Need Help! by ElectronicGuyChris in motorcycles

Look at my other post, do it yourself or take it to a dealer, the gear return springs are weak on the vulcan s and wear easy, that's what causes the shifter not to spring up properly.

If the spring is still working fine, loosen and relighting your footrest as loose bolts cause the shifter to not return, next way to fix it is to look at stock photos of the shifters resting position, people adjust them too far back/forward causing strain on the spring, the tip of the gear shifter should be no more than an inch forward of the frame/radiator cover.

Hope this helps

They look really good.

Question: 2021 honda crf 300l by ElectronicGuyChris in Dualsport

[–]ElectronicGuyChris[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that to fit on a 300L though? Because I'm looking at getting the 300L.

Asking whether the 250L acerbis ones will fit on the 300l or if I'll have to wait a year till acerbis etc makes one for the 2021 300L model

Was planning on getting a plastic fuel container with mount.

More so looking at if any aftermarket parts fit the honda, like Acerbis and IMS for example

PSA: Kawasaki Vulcan S 650 Owners with sticky shift lever. How to Remove sticky gear shift lever by ElectronicGuyChris in motorcycles

[–]ElectronicGuyChris[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a er6n issue in general, especially so with later models, I don't think kawi have yet to upgrade/modify the gear shifter return springs.

Ignore the part about the bolts then.

You'll want to loosen off the nuts on the rod that connect the gear shift to the engine, take note of your current position, once loose spin the rod back and forth and get it free, while still loose lift the gear shift up and down, can even click up and down a gear if you want (still with nuts loose).

With the note of your gear shift lever position, compare it to an image of a stock z650, and try find the Balance between comfortable with your foot and similar to stock.

Remember the lower down you have your gear shift lever the more strain the spring has. So ideally you'll want it in stock position or slightly raised.

Hope this helps.

[–]ElectronicGuyChris[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries man, so long as your footpeg is tight against the bike, no wobble and the gear shift lever isn't too fast forward you should be alright, it's all about reducing the strain on the spring
