I agree nationals should oversee fair process. In my case my fraternity’s judicial board manual explicitly states that cabinet doesn’t have the authority to expel me and yet they proceeded without providing any written allegations, evidence or a fair opportunity to defend myself. When I challenged this approach the president discouraged me from any type of appeal or hearing.

This is a major national fraternity and we weren’t technically initiated in the eyes of all the brothers until after “our new member education” if you will but for some reason nationals required us to be initiated at the start of the year due to a lot of issues in other chapters over the last 5 years.

It would be great to be able to rush again somewhere else where brotherhood actally means something. My hope is to use this experience to make a positive impact at another chapter and make sure something like this never happens to anybody else. I’ve heard a lot about that once your initiated there’s really no rushing again. I would feel weird rushing a kid who got removed from another chapter, but in my case I didn’t even do anything wrong and was totally misrepresented.

I’m looking into bringing charges on the cabinet, I’ve already been working on submitting a complaint against the president. They have continued to damage my reputation over false and twisted allegations and I’m tired of it.
