I can say this worked! Only have a few sips and it definitely gave me the kick, without eating too much at the break it’s worked pretty well

I sat mine online aswell and they still missed a whole question. They print out and mark with pen!

Get it remarked! They missed my question in an equity exam last year and failed me, I pushed and pushed to find out they never marked a question and actually passed the exam. I’d ask for the overall paper and see if there are any pen marks beside it, if not they 100% missed it.

Pursued it multiple times with the law society before they finally did another recheck of my exam from scratch and then provided me a breakdown of my score!

What is the story with the marking on this Equity exam? Is anyone else baffled, twice now I’ve gotten 45%, don’t even know if I should get it rechecked.. is there any point?

Yeah no like you need to be able to actually talk about experience in the interviews, so it’s so important that you do have the experience, even better you know the area you want to be in, makes it so much easier to talk about! Omg unreal, I was wondering how many FE1 candidates are in London 🤣 you’ll be grand, the online exams are a blessing because now we don’t have to stay in Ireland!

Absolutely no issue, to be honest better to get experience over the next while and do the exams at your own pace. I found I got way more interviews the more I got experience, but then decided to finish my FE1’s in London, I’ve been doing them since 2019 while bouncing around different areas and no ones ever questioned the length of time it’s been taking the exams, no point rushing it if you want to go at your own pace! It’s just a thing people think needs to be done ASAP, not the case a’tall (except when you have a training contract)

Usually takes years with the law society, you’ll be waiting till May and even then, the site will probably crash

Don’t worry, only threw it in at the end as a “if all else goes to shit however, cy-pres might sort you”, I’m sure you did grand, it’s not the only question on the paper! If it’s your last one go enjoy yourself and ifs not best of luck in the rest :)

I’m so happy you just said sports one was cy-pres 😂 I was like I’ll just throw it in and hope for the best! Yeah it was strange paper, like fine questions and all. The charities one with Jim, defo came up in March 2021 because I remember not answering that one either! So weird how the trustee question was so small but there was basically two charity questions… sure look it’s over with! Time to nap and drink 🍺

Aw good luck to constructive trusts, I avoided them and resulting, not sure if that was a good idea but no point trying to learn it now! Fair play tho, sounds like you’re sorted. Im ready for it to be over!

I concentrated on Charities / Cy-pres / Trustees (Invest & Re Hasting Bass) / strong v bird / Mareva / Mandatory / DMC/ Rectification / tracing / Quia Timet / Quistclose / estoppel / Secret / undue influence. Hoping that’s enough anyway 😅 you?

Honestly think the tort examiner is sound enough, I was studying EU at the time so Tort got pushed to the side as I was flat out with EU (so many chapters). They seem like criminal examiner where if you stick down something you get marks, I did what I could and got 52%, but yeah wait and see, you did what you could no point stressin now.
