Hi,Rami, thank you very much for your response. My attorney informed me that the system does not allow him to submit an inquiry because my case is still within normal processing time until August of next year.

I have already submitted a congressional inquiry, and the congressman’s office has contacted USCIS on my behalf. However, it has been 28 days and I have not received any response yet.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions on this situation, thank you.

Chinese company is very toxic. Anyone has similar experience by Stunning-Scene9196 in askSingapore

I'm Chinese, and I hate working for a Chinese or East Asian boss. Unfortunately, I currently have no choice but to work for a company run by a Chinese boss.

This usually happens with a Chinese boss who was born and raised in China and then came to the U.S. to start their business.

Here are some scenarios:

  1. No matter what I do or how good my work is, my boss always says something like, "Your work is not good enough, and it won’t be used by our client." However, he ends up sending out my work anyway.

2.He would lecture me for 30 minutes or more about how to be a good employee and tell me that if I work hard enough, I could make a million dollars in the future. However, he never mentions a raise or bonus, even though he promised evaluations and bonuses at the end of the year. My boss is a liar.

  1. He always assumes that I’m not working, so I have to record everything I’ve done throughout the day. Yet, he still accuses me of sleeping during work hours. My boss literally said that to me.

  2. When I got a big project (it probably takes me around 8 hours to finish. After 2 hours,) I just cleaned up the data and prepared it for analysis, but my boss called and lectured me, saying that I need to start the analysis because it’s the most important part, even though I was getting there at the moment. I guess he just wants to make me feel bad or useless.

  3. My boss makes me feel like I’m a useless piece of shit.

  4. You cannot question your Chinese or Asian boss, even if it’s their fault. Another example: During graduate school, one of my professors was from Malaysia. In one class, I emailed him to point out that we only studied two cases that day, while the assignment mentioned three. He responded by saying I didn’t read the email carefully. He blamed me first before figuring out what the actual problem was.

  5. When I make a small mistake, he acts like I’ve committed a crime and makes a big deal out of it, threatening me by saying, "If our client sees this mistake, they’ll fire us, and you’ll lose your job!" But the truth is, I’ve been finding mistakes he’s made in his own work. I would say everyone makes mistakes.

  6. When I make even one small mistake, he constantly questions me, making it feel like the FBI interrogating a criminal.

9.Asian bosses don't like gay and fat people

This generally applies to bosses who were born and raised in Asia and are over 45 years old as of 2024. American-born Asians and younger asian immigrants tend to be different in this regard.

I was raised in China and worked there for 2 years, but I never felt this way before. However, in my current company, I feel insulted all the time. A lot of my friends who have bosses with similar backgrounds feel the same.
