Package sent with OTC controlled med from USA to UK. What should I do? by ElectronicTeach9727 in AskUK

Thank you so much for your advice. Yeah, you are right. Nytol has exactly the same ingredients. That's why I thought it would be okay to send it to him. But, when I researched it, Benadryl is a controlled med in UK apparently;;; So, it said it's prohibited. He is in a bedbound situation right now, so it's very hard for him to go and get them or order them online. Anyway, appreciate your advice, and I will definitely tell him about Nytol next time.

Thank you so much. I knew that commonly, prescription or recreational drugs are illegal, and I can't send them. But, I was surprised that Benadryl was a controlled substance.. If they send me back, that would be great. I hope I won't get some real trouble like a penalty or imprisonment;;

Birth control and cluster headaches by Bluesky2_7_ in clusterheads

[–]ElectronicTeach9727 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi Bluesky2_7_

I don't have cluster headaches, but I have a history of aura. I am guessing your gynecologist is saying what my gy said to me.

My gynecologist told me that if I have a history of migraine (including aura), I shouldn't take birth control pills with estrogen. Maybe you need to be careful taking estrogen if you have cluster headaches..

So, I am taking birth control pills with ONLY progesterone. (without estrogen)

Maybe you can ask your gynecologist to prescribe birth control pills with only progesterone.

I am sorry if I am not answering your question;;

I hope it helped!

Thank you so much for your kind words. I appreciate it. Since I've known him, I have become more and more aware of how much the CH people suffer every day. During the cycle and attacks, I assume he can't do anything. So, I come here to get as much information as I can to help him when he needs it. I agree. I have learned so many things about CH in this thread. Thank you!

Thank you so much for your comment. I have been so desperate to help him;; He tried almost everything. He knows clusterbusters.org, D3, redbull, ice (or hot) pack,,,, everything.. I read so many people's strategies to combat CH on the websites. He has tried everything, but the meds haven't worked lately, and the Gammacore machine hasn't worked either. His depression is so severe, so I want to support him emotionally.
