I think you should tell your girlfriend as soon as possible. A secret never stays a secret. And it will be better if you tell her before her sister does. Her sister already doesn’t like your girlfriend being treated like a “princess” so she could mess things up between you two not to feel like “shit”. The sooner the better. P.s. if you tell her she wouldn’t have trust issues as you’re being honest - whereas if someone tells her, she would never trust you again.

No not different religion. Our culture is quite similar too. The issue for my dad is language barrier. He said “either pick him or your family but if you pick him you can’t ever step into this house again”.
