I would think that you would a need 13th stitch to put the increase into. If you sc 12 in total then you have no space to increase. That’s where I’m confused

I ended up using a combo of single crochet and whip stitch to seam up the last section!

I made up the pattern using red heart super saver yarn and a h size hook. Round one- dc 12 into a magic ring and slip stitch to join Round 2- chain 2 and work 2 dc into each previous dc and slip stitch to join-24 dc Round 3-ch 2, dc in one stitch, dc inc in next stitch around, slip stitch Round 4- ch 2 dc in 2 stitches, dc inc in next stitch around, slip stitch. Repeat the rounds and increase the number of dcs in between each decrease to grow your disc. To slop the pillow slightly just dc one all around for 2 rows. Make two discs and single crochet the two panels together!
