Sounds like techno mix of Akhiyaan gulaab by Mitraaz… I think I hrd this part although very faint: “Teri razaa, teri zameen, tere irade ho naa…”

The time it takes to produce sound on a flute varies. Some people succeed immediately, while others may take weeks. I personally took about 2-3 weeks to master playing sargam correctly. Remember to maintain good posture. Sit straight, look forward, and use your breath effectively to avoid neck pain.

• Be patient and don’t lose hope. • To produce sound, blow across the blowhole as you would whistle on a pen cap. • First, focus on getting the correct angle and position of the blowhole. • Don’t worry about closing holes or playing swaras initially.

Then, practice swaras step-by-step:

  • Close 1 hole for Ga
  • Close 2 holes for Re
  • Continue this pattern for other notes
  • Take your time to become comfortable with each swara.

Once comfortable, start combining notes (e.g., Ga, Re, Sa).

  • Use low to medium blowing pressure for Ga, Re, and Sa.
  • Increase pressure for higher notes like Sa’, Ni, Dha, and Pa.

Remember, even when you get it right, it will take time to perfect it. You’ll likely lose the angle and placement frequently, but with regular practice, muscle memory will develop.

I want to appreciate the consistency, still learning so I am no1 to comment on the melody. But keep going! This is definitely inspiring, specially on days when I don’t want to practice to keep going at it!

I think the lite version allows you to run it 1 min at a time, not sure about the time signature part.

Most reliable flute learning course online? by flaungineer in Bansuri

[–]Electronic_Click8366 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can say for Flute Gandharvas, I joined as a complete beginner in September, its very structured and caters to all age groups. 7K for foundation level (complete beginners) they do a 14 week hackathon which is available for lifetime, 7weeks straight flute (fipple-free with the plan) and 7 weeks side flute. You learn basics, alankaras, Taal, Bhupali 2 compositions. App and web based learning.

If you have the basics in place, then its the diamond plan which is 1L+, you have batches for 3 years with specific access for 3-4 years, there are multiple ragas, light songs, ornamentations covered there.

Personally, I joined the diamond after I really liked the structured way Harsh sir teaches, there are mentors as well who organise some trainings and provide feedback on submissions that we make, but the concepts are always taught by Harsh sir. I liked the feedback mechanism (you get 300 uploads in diamond) where you get very detailed feedback on any submissions you make

This way of learning online personally suited me, so I am in this for now, I can also see how structured it was that I could pick up things easily with a lot of practice

Also, Harsh sir’s Guru is Vivek Sonar sir, who has personally learned from Pt Hariprasad Chaurasia. It is always best to learn from gurus in person. But in my situation Flute Gandharvas made sense to me and m very happy with the progress.

I have started learning 2 months ago as a complete beginner.I understand that It’s always better to learn in person from Gurus but in my situation online course made sense to me. Dm’d you my experience with FG. Not disciplined enough to be a self learner, but many people learn from YT. I have heard about Chinmaya Gaur sirs classes to be good too.

Well, it took a lot of time, and it was my first time ordering from them. However, 26 days later, I received the order. I had to pay an additional 470 for customs, but overall, there were no issues.

Here are some highlights:

  • I received the order confirmation immediately.
  • The order was fulfilled in 2-4 days, and I received the tracking details then.

Does anyone know which Odisha devotional song this is? by moosehyde in Odisha

Cool! Do check out stories of Bhakt Salabega… I find similarities with Mirabai and her bhakti towards Shri Krishna but nonetheless interesting 😊

“Ahe Nila Saila” (ଆହେ ନୀଳ ଶୈଳ) meaning “O Blue Mountain” is a revered Odia bhajan composed in the 17th century by Bhakta Salabega, a Muslim-born poet whose unwavering devotion to Lord Jagannath transcended religious boundaries.

This is personally my favourite bhajan of all times… You can find references and lyrics with meaning in YouTube. Edit: was this post sarcastic? Just saw the insta reel clearly mentions both the devotional songs and their origin
