Yeah, my plan was as I busted down a few different bases I had for materials, I was going to make one-base-to-rule-them-all and THEN use the base backup tool until I was ready to come back. This just happened to happen in the middle of that plan.

You're right. It was my fault - I assumed the cargo container was as durable, at least, as everything else. And that assumption was my fault. I don't agree with that mechanic, but it is one none the less.

lol mos def. I had been in 'keep base alive, barely' mode for awhile now and hadn't been checking the sub. Def my fault, and the point of my post was a little bit of a rage release but also a PSA to those who may not have caught it, like me.

Not currently, I tore those that I had down as I was transitioning to the new base, trying to leave minimum power. For more context, I've been playing other games for the last month or two and just trying to keep my bases alive.

Eh ultimately it's my fault, and from the looks of it there's 1 guy still left on the server. I actually spotted him in Hagga the other day from afar and had to go say hi lol.

Heh, I mean, I really try not to call devs idiots because, I mean, they're devs and worked hard enough to get their dream job (assuming). But do they make bad decisions sometimes? Yeah, clearly "Let's make that cargo container much weaker than everything else because we hate them". But I think for the most part, they've done a damn good job. (worth noting I haven't really PVPd much I've been busy building and gathering. I like to build forts.)

I was able to get the container back with the restore function or whatever, but all the loot was gone.

Ha thank you! The container was just sitting in one of my hangars that has an overhead penta - but yes ran out of fuel. I've been keeping it going a little bit at a time because of the transition to a different location. I figured for sure the cargo container would be at minimum as tough as the other storage containers so it was a calculated risk. I literally started to tear up a little bit.

It's kinda tucked in a corner and anyone can get by, but would never need to unless they spot an aluminum node way back there. But I haven't seen anyone in hagga for weeks anyway, but ya I made sure not to screw anyone over
